You're right, gris. Brewers are doing their best to choke away the wild card lead.

I wish the Astros had started just a little earlier on their run. They're 34-16 (.680) since the all-star break even though they didn't start the 2d half good, have now won 12 of their last 13, and they keep creeping up, just 4 games back now. It would take a miracle for them to get past 3 other teams though, even though just one game separates Philly, St. Louis, and Houston in the race.

The Astros are just like my Jays right now...

Stros have won 12 of 13...

Jays have won 10 in a row...

All too little too late...where the fuck was this run earlier in the year huh? I feel your pain...

Of the 4 NL wild card contenders, the Phillies and Brewers are the only ones who have a head-to-head series in the remaining schedule. So, Phillies will probably win the wild card and lose to the Cubs in the Division series.

Scratch that comment about the Phillies/Cubs Division series. I really don't know who will play whom in the Division series. If the Phillies win the wild card, the Cubs the Central, Mets the East, the Phillies wouldn't play the Mets would they, since they're in the same division? Or, does the division winner with the best record play the wild card team? Not sure.

If the Phillies make the wild card, then the Cubs would play them and the Mets would play the Dodgers. Two division teams cannot play in the divison series.

If the Brewers make the wild card, the Cubs would play the Dodgers, and Brewers would play the Mets.

Got it. That makes sense. Then my original comment about the Phillies/Cubs series is plausible. Thanks, Rook.

I think that either the Mets or the Dodgers will be in the World Series and give the edge to the Mets;they are showing that they aren't so far that they are going to collapse like they did last year in the playoffs.
Although so far I have two futures bets on who is going to win the WS, the Yankees(well, we all make mistakes lol) and a lot more on the Angels), I am going to place a little bet on the Mets and maybe the Dodgers, because even though I believe the Angels or any AL team will win, you never know.
I don't have the current odds on the Mets or the Dodgers in front of me, and that will determine if and how much I bet on them.
ps Of course, if the Red Sox win it all, then well the lost money bet on other teams will be worth it.

Wow-the Mets are 10-1 and Dodgers 13-1 to win WS.
I am going to take my chances and bet some on both-will of course hedge if either of them gets there.
