Tonight's attendance: 12,678.
That's even worse than last night. Exactly 800 fewer fans.
At this rate, there'll be 3200 fans by Sep.15.
This can't be defended. The Tampa fans are a disgrace. Three young pitchers combine on a 1-0 shutout and only 12-thousand people show up.
I wonder if they can even sell out a playoff game.

As for the arguments about bad teams, Milwaukee, pathetic forever, is averaging 38,000 this year in a stadium that seats 42,000.
The Cubs, a disgrace for a century, sell out every game.
Even Seattle, bad for a long time and too cheap to re-sign players, has very good attendance.
I just don't get why the people who live there don't go to games. Do our BC guys who live in Florida go?Comment

In general Florida fans are horrible. They're FAIR WEATHER FANS! They've become spoiled from the success of their college football teams they don't support the pro teams unless they're winning. In this case they're not even supporting the best team in baseball.Comment
