Terrible timing to bet the Yanks to take the series as at the break they were at 17-1.........if anyone likes the Yanks wait till they lose a few in a row.

If you want value play the Rockies at 65-1 as they are only a few games out of first after playing dreadful ball the first 3+ months.

Another longshot is the Braves at 90-1 playin in that NL East as those teams beat the crap out of each other nobody is going to run away with anything.

I agree with you on the Yanks Wayne. Not a Yanks fan, but watching them in the BoSox series this weekend they are a different team attitude wise. I also think the Nady pick up was a good one for them. It is wierd, as I watched the game yesterday it crossed my mind that these guys will probably win the series. Time will tell.

That is precisely the reason as mentioned in previous post took them at 7-1.
I bet Angels also at 5.4-1 ,and am in essence saying as much as I hate to admit it as a Sox fan, that both of these teams will get into the playoffs;I believe one will emerge as the Al representative and for obvious and historical reasons, either one has a decided advantage over any NL team.

Rockies are 5.5 games out of first place in the West and at 65-1 i wouldnt say they have zero shot.......same can be said for the Braves at 90-1.

Why would I wager $100 on the Yanks at a measly 7-1 playing in the tough AL and a tougher AL East to win $700 when i can get the Rocks for $10 to win just as much playing in that crap division and a crap NL....much wiser to bet 10 bucks on the Rocks and Braves than to bet anything on the Yanks.

Im willing to bet you can get 7-1 on the Yanks even after they make the playoffs just parlaying their 3 playoff series assuming hypothetically they are +120 vs the Angels and +120 vs the Red Sox in the ALCS and -130 vs the Cubs in the series.

Betting anything on the Yanks is a waste of money....not saying they cant win it its just not a smart move....same can be said for any prohibitive fav like the Cubs, Angels, Red Sox, White Sox.....those teams have zero value at this point.

Ronny, The word "Value" is over used. Value only matters when they win. Even if the Rockies or Braves made the WS by some Miracle, they would lose to the A.L.

How can you overuse the word value....there is no guaruntee they cant win and longshots such as 65-1 and 90-1 you can bet peanuts and get a great return especially the Rockies after proving what they are capable of when healthy.

There is no lock that says the Al will win the world series....shit what was the payout on the Giants with 4 weeks left in the NFL season......I would say at least 40-1 maybe and people wouldve said that is throwing money away.

There is zero value in betting chalk because the risk/return just doesnt justify it.......as of today I have more faith in the Rockies making the series at 65-1 than I do the Yanks at 7-1.

Yanks arent really that much better than the Rockies anyways....they are better but not nearly 10X better like the books would lead you to believe with these stupid odds.

Tigers as of today are 30-1 longshots as they sit 6.5 games out of first......if by some chance Tigers heat up and the White Sox cool down and they catch them by mid-August you will be lucky to get the Tigers at 10-1 and 6.5 deficit in late July is nothing.
