Greek personally what kills it for me is I am just coming off more than a 2 month stretch of playoff hockey, and to see BS like that.......I can't even enjoy the game. It's almost like they had a plan B if things weren't going there way.
If Hockey is so enjoyable for you to watch, and the NBA is so deplorable for you to watch, now that Hockey is over, try watching Animal Planet, History Channel, etc., so this doesn't bother you so much.....

Why in the world would a person watch something he can't stand, as stated before in other threads, and then gripe on the forum about it......

I just don't understand.....Don't watch it, let those that enjoy it, do so.....

        ESPN is doing it too

You would have thought by the sounds of their voices this guy ripped out his kidney and ran it over to Mass. General Hospital to save a life

When you hear the 'POP', the first thing you think its an ACL, but the way they were carrying him its a good thing they arent furniture movers

If your having withdrawls from Hockey, I might suggest the Red Sox Devil Rays games, Should make you feel better..

Kapt i really don't understand what your problem with me here is except i said i like hockey. I was responding to a question. It also says PERSONALLY, meaning only for me, my opinion, my thoughts. It's not like i'm preaching over here.

#1 never called it deplorable, but good word.
#2 the only reason it bothered me so much is because of what unfolded. (by the title and responses in this thread it doesn't look like i'm the only one.)
#3 I SAID I CAN"T STAND WATCHING THAT BS, that's what i said kapt, and as i stated above if i would of known that we were going to try and reinact a willis reed type entrance I would NOT have watched it.
#4 I never said i can't stand the games, i said i can't stand the league (as you say i stated in other threads)
#5 I was simply giving my thoughts on the question greek asked, i thought that was the point of this thread, not to rip someone just because they said they like hockey.
#6 refer to #1 even though it is very enjoyable for me to watch i don't think i even said that, just like i never said deplorable, those are YOUR words kapt.
#7 you say things like, "so this doesn't bother you so much", as if i'm acting like i'm better than everyone else.
#8 why in the world would a person watch something he can't stand ? I was excited for a really great finals matchup, and was all psyched up to watch the game actually, again i will saY IT, IT IS WHAT UNFOLDED, AND IT IS THE TITLE OF THIS THREAD THAT I COULN'T STAND. LET THOSE THAT ENJOY IT DO SO, THATS THE POINT I WAS TRYING TO ENJOY IT, IT'S NOT LIKE I SAID BOY I CAN'T STAND THIS..............NOW LET ME WATCH IT.

I do watch channels like you stated above, all the time, actually I told you about 1 of the shows i watch. Not sure if your trying to take a shot at my intelligence or what. So you came in here to rip me for my opinion that was asked of me from the title of the thread ?????

well never used the word enjoyable, let's see, deplorable not in there either. This is the kind of stuff i can't take with the NBA, meaning the league, not the games. I see you really had no comment on the perkins injury. Last but not least, is your name greek because i swear it says GREEK PERSONALLY. Meaning that i am talking directly to the person that was asking the question. Why don't you at least give your thoughts on the situation, and if you don't want to, then why rip someone else's thoughts when they were asked for them.

sorry for replying to your thread greek, i'll ask for permission next time.

well you said it not me, but you could not be more right. All i did was mention the word in a comment to greek and kaptain went off on me....................

I know you were just giving your opinion on the topic, I thought that, that was the point of the thread also.

I personally can not stand the NBA .. I bet on it occasionally and do fairly well ... and only because I use points on wins and loses and road/home teams ,,, I can not even tell you who plays first base for the bulls ....

but when there is nothing else on I will watch NBA for a few minutes ,,,, and a few minutes only

                      Thanks

Pierce said today that he heard a pop and felt pain in his knee that he never felt before. He was also instructed to get into the wheelchair, he didn't request it. I guess Pierce hearing a pop makes him a liar and an actor.

He said if the game was today, he probably wouldn't play but since it is on Sunday, he should be able to go.

I could care less personally. All i know is that i was devastated when i saw Pierce's pain on his face and he was carried off the court. I couldn't believe he came back out and my only thought was thank god. I havn't heard anyone locally comparing this to Willis Reed. The only ones i've heard all day saying it is the national media. Every single person i talked to today and heard on local radio was just glad he was alright. Turn on all the national shows and he is being ripped and they are screaming how it wasn't Willis Reed. Who the fuck said it was? I'm still trying to figure that one out. If it was Kobe, i guarantee it would have been portrayed as an amazing feat. Guaranteed! I can't believe the theories and time on their hands people have to come up with this stuff. People should be talking about Boston's great defensive effort in the 2nd half, PJ Brown, the play of Rondo and the nice defensive effort against Kobe. Kobe had 24 points on 26 shots while Pierce scored 22 points on 10 shots. That was one big difference in the win and PJ Brown was another. Boston won by 10 and they were a +10 with PJ Brown on the floor. Nobody expected anything out of this guy when he was signed off his couch a couple of months ago. Simply amazing. Boston leads 1-0 and we will see what game 2 brings. All the rest of this crap can be theorized endlessly imo.

Fake or not he fired up his team and crowd when he came back and they won by 10.

A couple of the local Boston sportscasters on last nights local news, one talk show host on WEEI who called it 'close to a Willis Reed moment but not quite' and numerous callers...who, I will say, were shot down by most of the hosts on WEEI. I only listned to WEEI for a total os an hour today at different times.

Stu Scott needed to be shot for his over dramatization of it...shocker!!!

I thought it should have been compared to any European soccer player who got taken down and was able to draw a yellow or red card on his opponent!

Loved Phil jackson's response....guys have loose draw strings and come back, untied shoe laces....

And it was the (2) three's he hit that were daggers. Very impressive.....
