Looking for some Vegas Info

My company had a conference in vegas 2 months ago...rented out the top floor of the Stratosphere for the opening night cocktails/dinner reception (it was the night of the Championship game)...people were raving about this ride! My knees were wobbling just looking out the window...couldn't pay me to go on that ride!

Hell, I got weak kneed looking through the small glass floor at Ghost Bar...!

It's crazy.The one I rode was like a 2 seat bucket and it spins you out over the edge and your looking straight down.That one shook me up so bad I couldn't ride the other one.It looked like a little roller coaster that extended out over the edge and then drooped you and brings you back up. The coaster in the middle I can handle but those two are crazy.

We were in Disneyworld a month ago and went on the Space Mountain Ride;that was horrible and I never wanted anything to end so fast as that.
I watched that Stratosphere ride when we were there;it appears to be just as bad if not worse than the ride in Disney.

Space Mountain got me a little last summer also.You get use to floating around in little boats on all those other rides and then WHAM your in pitch dark flying your ass off.Cool ride though.

Follow Greek and ThreeJack's advice, those are the places you wanna be. I'll throw this in, fuck gambling in Vegas, I'll bet a few sporting events when I'm down there, but fuck the tables, there's too much better shit to do down there then sit at a fucking table. Trust me, you can come home and play poker online, don't waste your valuable time in Vegas. Here's another piece of advice, when you need to take a cab to another casino/club, grab a limo and grab a few girls that are going your way, it's the same price.

For those of you cheapskates like me(lol), don't forget the Deuce, a bus which takes you just about anywhere you want to go inside Vegas on the Strip or Downtown for $2 one way or $5 unlimited for 24 hours;we spent a lot of time walking but sometimes that intense heat especially in June and July and August can get to you and you really need a ride and AC.
ps You NEVER have to wait very long for the bus, and it stops at a zillion popular places;the bad news is though that at times you feel like a sardine stuffed in a can if you catch my drift.

There are alot of things to do but hell sitting(or standing) at a craps table in Ceasers is about as good as it gets.You don't want to spend ALL your times at the table but those are some fun times.We use to go out and then come back to the tables and lost alot of money due to drunk ass bets.Now we hit the tables about 6:00 pm waiting on the ladies to get ready and then hit the town for dinner and drinks.It's still hard though.I was at Coytey Ugly at New York New York last year and they don't have a bathroom in there.You have to go downstairs and walk by 5 or 6 blackjack tables to go piss.By midnight I was playing $50 a hand every time I went to piss

If you like Extreme, try indoor skydiving, ultralights in Boulder City, and a new attraction that I cant think of the name but was on the front page of the Review Journal on May 25th regarding sliding down a moutain side James Bond style that just opened in Boulder City.

Be sure to also check out the whore houses in Pahrump and have a drink at the sports bar at Sheri's Ranck and get a free tour(Budweiser room is cool!), and go down to the Pahrump Valley Winery for an amazing dinner afterwards just 4 miles down the opposite way. Death Valley is very pretty that time of year, esp with all the natural oasis' there.

Also, just a few hours away is area 51.

ok rdog, i live in vegas. i dont do shows so i can't help there. i do eat tho. best seafood buffet rio hotel. as far as other buffets go, if you wanna spend money bellagio is good, went there once. $25 bucks a head when i was there 4 or 5 years ago. basically vegas is now a tourist town and not just gambling. almost all hotels have a mini **** in them. if you wanna see some short free shows go to the treasure island and watch the show out front. 1st show is at 7:30 pm. then go next door to the mirage and watch the volcano.

Find out the times of the night show and Paris casino is right across the street.Ride to the top of the Eiffel Tower and watch the fountains from there.It's awsome.
