Looking for some Vegas Info

Hey Guys,

I won a trip to Vegas by winning a pool tournament in my area. My teammates and I will be coming to Vegas from August 14-21. For many of us including myself this is will be our first trip to Sin City and I figured that this site would be a good place to get some information on what to do and see in Vegas. We are definitely interested in going to see a show while we are out there and were wondering if there is one that you can suggest. Right now it looks like we want to go see Cirque somewhere. Also, any tips on good buffets would be nice. We are just looking for some interesting things to do other than drink, play pool and shoot dice. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Its going to be 120 so you well be drinking indoors or at a pool i can promise you that....you dont need to plan anything... take it as it comes plenty of stuff to do... You will understand once you get there

SOMETHING I ALWAYS DID WAS WHAT CHUNG SAID ALL I DID WAS GAMBLED AND MISSED OUT ON ALOT.THIS IS WHAT I STARTED DOING AND TURNED OUT TO BE THE BEST DAY I HAD EVERYTIME I WENT.WHAT I WOULD DO IS TAKE $150 AND SAVE IT FOR MY LAST DAY.START AT THE HOTEL YOU ARE STAYING AND WALK DOWN THE STRIP GOING INTO EACH HOTEL CASINO AND PLAYING 1 BET ON THE COLOR BLACK AT THE ROULETTE TABLE.IF YOU WIN GO TAKE THE CHIP AND CASH OUT.YOU JUST DOUBLED UP YOUR BET.THIS GIVES YOU THE CHANCE TO SEE ALL THE AWESOME INSIDES OF ALL THE CASINO'S PLUSS YOU GET TO WALK THE STRIP.THIS WAS THE ONLY WAY I COULD GET MYSELF TO SEE THE SITES WAS GAMBLE ALONG THE WAY.IF YOU GET LUCKY YOU WILL GET TO SEE THE PIRATES SHIP FIGHTING AT TREASURE ISLAND AND THE FOUNTAINS AT CASEARS IF YOU TIME IT RIGHT.SOMETIMES I WOULD EVEN BE UP $50 when i got back to my place.

i been known to walk right in ready to gamble usually that gets ya down early w. alot of days still to go u there a week u have plenty of time to gamble check out diff casinos and spread out gamblin....if u just killin some time and drinkin sit at a qtr slot get the free drinks they add up if u walkin around payin for all them....goto scaled down clubs at nite ive been to tao at venectian, rain at the palms, pure at caesars, etc cuz i either stayed there or knew someone at door but still had to pay 25 bux to get in or throw my buddy loot for gettin in and yea they fun but u can have just as much fun at the side clubs/bars cuz at the "popular" ones why wait in line for 2-3 hrs and even tho i didnt wait to get in why pay 12-15 bux for a drink?....got to hit a strip club first time in vegas goto spearmint rhino 300 strippers u cant go wrong but couple hundred will go quick if u get 3 dances cost $100....harrahs is not a bad spot to start a nite its middle strip there is outside bar that always has music the gamblin is good far as winnin and then u can go to number of places from there...they have a train from harrahs that stops at couple casinos for 5 bux a ride, or walk down to bill's (used to be barbary coast) and wait 15 min for the free bus that goes to gold coast casino and walk 2 mins across street to the palms not bad for free and see some celebs maybe, i seen jeter, bonds, rodman, sheffield times i stayed at palms it a hot spot but small table area...good luck when u go dont forget to get to a computer maybe a BC member will have a nice baseball bet u can throw couple hund on

Where are you staying?

Go see Danny Gans. Excellent show. Try to get to the Hard Rock pool somehow on Sunday for Rehab. Get there early! Tons of great strip clubs. Go to the top of the stratosphere to get views of the area and ride a coupl eof rides that will scary the crap out of you, if you don't mind heights and roller coasters. Can't help with buffets. Go to Drai's at 4am for the 'after hours party' (doesn't open until 4pm). Walk the strip, tons of bars and placs to drink. There is a section of the Wynn casino that looks out onto the European pool..but it is tough to find. If you like nightclubs, go to Body English at the HRH on Fri or Sun night (Sunday's are their busiest). Also Pure is hot. But because it is August, find a shady spot in a cool pool scene and chill.... My $.02.

If youre rolling with 4 dudes, I recommend always just dropping a ben franklin to the bouncer to skip lines...

Pure never disappoints, lots of ladies in packs there.

Best show to See (Cirque) is O at the Belaggio. It will blow your mind away!

The buffet at the Rio is also out of this world.... they have food from every corner of the world.

Quite honestly you cant go wrong when you eat at any of the major Casinos on the strip... They all are incredible. The Rio has always been known as one of the best Buffets. Go Hungry! Have a great time

the club itself is bad ass -- problem with all the clubs at the palms tho is that they attract a very very young immature crowd

Dont plan shit, except maybe 1 show.....let everything else come as it comes.

Any info you need get it from vegas.com or tripadvisor.com.

Ebay and craigslist have VIP passes to different clubs......if it is you and ur boys, get everywhere early if you want to get in.
