I think this is a steal at -140, of course if he wins the Preakness, I may hedge my bet
He'll win the Preakness. Winning the Belmont is always the biggest obstacle. It's the toughest challenge made tougher racing at that distance and the horse's 3rd race in 5 weeks. There's been many horses going into the Belmont with triple crown hopes only to fail.

In 1979 there was almost back-to-back-to-back triple crown winners. Spectacular Bid won the first two legs. He was an awesome horse. Arguably, the greatest horse to run all 3 legs and not win the triple crown. The morning of the race he stepped on a safety pin and finished 3rd behind Coastal. Like many of the Belmont winners, he didn't run in any of the two previous triple crown races.

It all depends on which horses are waiting on the sidelines to run only in the Belmont. Many horse players like playing the 'rested' horse in the Belmont.

There's been 11 triple crown winners. There's more triple crown losers going into the Belmont winning the Derby and Preakness. 16

There's been lots of close calls since 1997. There have been 6 horses that have won both the Derby and Preakness only to lose the Belmont.

The Belmont Stake is sooo tough. I think that unless Desormeaux falls off Big Brown so some type of Barbaro shit happens, then Big Browns wins the Preakness.

I like deep closers in Belmont Stakes.

Pyro wins Belmont if he runs.
        Good Luck to everyone

        Clark: What's steroids?
Richie: Something that makes your pee-pee smaller.
Clark: There must be steroids in macaroni!

The Belmont is always the toughest, as it is the longest.

Big Brown can run all day, so I really feel if he doesn't get beaten in a fluky Preakness, he will be OK.

This is still only his 5th start
You can't always get what you want, but if you try some time, you might find, you get what you need.

I like Big Brown in the Preakness.......BUT:

he hasn't had a workout since the Derby (only gallops)l this makes me wonder if his feet are acting up.

Still, the Preakness field stinks and Big Brown could regress quite a bit and win.

The Belmont will be harder. Casino Drive appears to be every bit as good as Big Brown and his two career wins have been just as spectacular as Big Brown's wins.

The odds are always tall against any horse winning the TC, so a very smart bet on your part. Congrats
