it's so tough to get honest talk from fans....I know I have trouble....I was just reading your "penelty" post....So when Briere takes a wicked elbow to the head....is that protecting the stars on the ice? or you mean when someone rubs against malkin, the ref's that he's been sleeping with have to call a penelty? as previously stated, the ref's are not the reason the flyers are losing. Pens are just better....however that does not mean the officiating hasn't been terrible.

Frank, I was referring to Game 2 and just because penalties are even, doesn't mean they're legit...it's a common opinion that if you touch Malkin or Crosby, penalties are called...and there's a reason Crosby's nickname is crybaby. Anyway, I find it comical that the Pens were near extint about 3 yrs ago and now all the bandwagon fans come out of the woodwork. I agree the Pens are better, but I can also have an opinion that Malkin and Crosby are pu**ies. Anyway, it will be interesting to see the team of bandwagon fans vs. the team who can't even sell out their playoff games.

Prime example of what I'm talking about with Crosby. Richards drops the gloves to fight him, Crosby, though still holding his stick looks like he's down to go at it, and theref breaks it up in 2 secs...he's so protected, it's disgusting.

The flyers commited some penelties...however, I wish you would just man up and agree that the 2 prima dona's get whatever call they want. Remember earlier in the series when hatcher stood up malkin and knocked the puck away? that's called defense....not a penelty.

Early in his career Messier was a fierce fighter. It makes no sense for the stars to fight taking them off the ice for 5 minutes. There's an unwritten rule in the NHL. Goons only fight Goons.
