tech you seem to really know your baseball and you have helped me out in that sport. Well surprise surprise my sport is hockey. I can tell you that hit is called a knee on knee hit, i know it doesn't look bad but anytime you stick your knee out it's an automatic call. Those hits are VERY dangerous and have ended many careers. PLUS it is so easy to avoid that's why you have to call it. it's not like you can deliver a knee on knee by mistake. He knew what he was doing and got caught.

I know your mad at the loss but i just wanted to tell you as a hockey guy you HAVE to make that call, and that is probably why philly tried it, they thought the refs wouldn't call anything at that point. sorry about your loss bud. for the record I am a avalanche fan not canadiens. Avalanche lost too, so i ain't so happy over here either.

It is not taken lightly and thats why some fan threw his beer on Richards when he went to the box. Unintentional though it was by Richards but it was on our star player. Could have injured him for the rest of the playoffs if it was dead on contact on the right spot.
