My guess is once Tiger retires or ages when he no longer dominates, then like millions other, you'll no longer have any interest in golf.

No im not a true golf fan, whats your point? I dont even play golf.

Who cares if i am or not, i cant be a fan of a winner, is there something wrong with that. Last time i looked there was no rules on who you could pull for in any sport

I'm not sure how much pressure Immelman would have felt. He said we didn't look at the scoreboard the entire round.

I THOUGHT IMMELMAN PLAYED GREAT AND I THOUGHT THE KID FROM VANDY PLAYED GREAT EVEN THOUGH HE BLEW UP A LITTLE YESTERDAY-theses guys did not start out like tiger, but i think you will be seeing both around the winners circle for a long time, aren't they both in there 20's ?? ps-for their age,i was especially impressed with the demeanor of both these kids-cool as cucumbers !!

Don't believe which? You don't believe he didn't feel pressure or didn't look at the scoreboard.

That he looked at the scoreboard. You can't tell me you start the day 5 shots in front of Tiger and didn't peek up there just 1 time to see if he was making a move

I believe it for a few reason.

First, golf is different sport. You're playing against yourself. You have to concentrate on your own game and play within yourself. Worrying about the other golfers will only lead to trouble.

Second, in golf it's not uncommon not knowing how the other players in other groups are doing. They know at the pro level because they carry the scoreboards around. At the amateur level there's no scoreboards. You don't know the results till all the players are in the clubhouse. I've played in many tournaments when I had to wait for all the players are off the course to know the results. I'm sure it's not the first time Immelman played in a tourny not knowing how we was doing till he got to the clubhouse.

Third, It's a gentleman's game. I know no reason why Immelman would lie.

Immelman did say he was getting some feedback from his caddy. Mostly, words of encouragement like "your doing great".

i dont think he looked at the scoreboard. He didnt have to. The crowd wasnt going crazy. That in itself speaks volumes. IMO this was one of the most boring, uneventful masters ever. Not cause tiger didnt win but really no one even challenged immelman and he shot a 75 on sunday.

Great point. Aside from Tiger on #11 the crowd never went crazy. I'm sure he also heard many of the groans when Tiger missed short putts.

Immelman also said even after he put his ball in the water on #16 he could tell he was still OK because of the crowds reaction. He said they were still cheering him on walking off the 16th green.

IMO it wasn't boring. It wasn't the most exciting finish. There was no drama because Immelman had the big lead.

If Tiger was leading by 5 would you still think it was boring? Tiger trailing leads to more drama. If Tiger was leading by 5 I wouldn't watch the final round. With Tiger trailing by 5 he's always lurking.

I also think the Tiger fans are spoiled. When he's not playing at his best his fans are disappointed. They expect him to play at his peak performance with every shot, every round and every tourny.

I do expect it, wont lie. When he was missing puts on Saturday i was coming unglued. Dude shot a 4 under and i was still pissed when he missed a 15 foot put

No, i wouldnt think it was boring if tiger was 5 up, im a fan of his, but i would have not thought it was boring if anyone other than tiger was actually threatning Immelman.
