  • Baseball Selections--Day Baseball

Went 0-2 last night dropping my NBA selection by a point (although it wasnt that close because I had the Lakers as a 7 point favorite and it went to OT where they won by 6) and just a bad baseball selection with the over in the Braves game.

I tend to play dogs and dogs only in baseball as far as sides go. Occasionally a small favorite, but I have figured out that with the amount of selections I play, I can profit significantly by going 30-40 games below .500 on the season. Not that I root for a below .500 record, just that laying juice in baseball on a consistent basis isnt how I have been successful. I will also play totals as I did last night and will today.

    Here we go:

    923/924 Chicago/Cleveland Over 8.5 -115 1 Unit

    919 Toronto (Halladay) +142 1.5 Units
Anytime I can get Halladay at this value I am taking it, regardless of their opponent. He is one of the top pitchers in the game. That alone makes it a 1 Unit selection. Adding the half unit is that Wang had a terrible spring and also had less than impressive stats against the Jays last year posting an 6.35 era and was winless in his starts. In addition, Halladay has always pitched well at the Stadium, showing he likes the limelight. And no bigger regular season limelight than Opening Day of the final season at the House That Ruth Built.

    Good luck everyone.

Hey Chad since the Jays are the only Canadian team do you root for them? Do you like baseball as a sport? Not gambling wise. Watching and rooting wise? And if so, were you an Expos fan when they were there? Lots of questions, sorry about that, just curious I guess.

Yea of all sports the Montreal Canadiens are my absolute die hard never miss more than maybe 5-10 games per year know everything about them and religious follower and rooter type team. I never was an Expos fan even though they were from Montreal. Its funny cause I hate the Leafs with a passion more than any other sports team on the planet but I am a Jays and a Raptors fan. I do not have a favorite football team in either the CFL nor NFL as I didnt really start following football until maybe the age of 15 or 16 where as with baseball and hockey I have followed and played it for most of my life . So with that being said its Habs and pretty much Habs ALL DAY with the Jays fan being 2nd in me and the Raptors fan 3rd..

                  Since Jays/Yankees got postponed

I will add another play I took earlier today:

925 Texas +165 1 Unit (Currently its at 155 but it opened at 174 and I got it at 165 earlier today).
Bedard had a pretty weak Spring while Millwood had a solid spring, at least toward the end. Nice value here as this is a large price for Seattle with Bedard now the man over there and expected to do great things. Lots of pressure on the free agent aquisition and I think he stumbles today.

                  Good luck to everyone.

                    Adding some CBI and NBA

Nice easy winner so far today on the Whitesox/Indians game to go over and Im waiting on the Rangers as my other baseball pick.

                    Tonight in basketball:

                    614 Tulsa -5
I dont like Bradley on the road here at all. I think this series is going 3 with the home team prevailing in each game. 5 is manageable and Tulsa has put up solid ATS numbers as a home favorite.

                    603/604 Toronto/Charlotte Over 196 1/2
8 of Charlotte's last 9 games have gone Under while not that same 8 of 9 stat holds true for away games vs home games in that same time period. Charlotte has been playing away for a while due to all the college basketball action going on in Charlotte. With their return home comes an about face with the trend towards under and I see this one going way over.

                    Best of luck everyone.
