Detroit Pistons at Phoenix Suns (ABC | 2:30 PM ET)

Phoenix power forward Amare Stoudemire has averaged 30.7 points in the last 6 games, totaling 65 in 2 games since Shaquille O'Neal joined the team. O'Neal has called Stoudemire "the best big man in the game right now - period." Stoudemire believes O'Neal's presence has helped him tremendously. “(The acquisition of O’Neal has) helped me a lot,” Stoudemire said. “It’s just allowed me to play basketball. I don’t have to battle so much with the big guys and get in foul trouble, things like that." BIG EDGE: SUNS
Detroit starts a 4-game West Coast road trip in Phoenix, all against Western Conference teams. The Pistons are just 5-5 away from home against the West. However, they have won 3 of the last 4 meetings, including 2 straight at Phoenix. SLIGHT EDGE: PISTONS
Detroit is 1-7 ATS in its last 8 road games.
Detroit is 7-1 ATS in the last 8 meetings.

Boston Celtics at Portland Trail Blazers (6 PM ET)

Boston has dropped 3 in a row to Western Conference opponents after going 16-0 prior to the start of the team's 5-game road trip. The Celtics are coming off their worst offensive effort Friday night at Phoenix, scoring just 77 points on 38.5 percent shooting. EDGE: BLAZERS
Portland has dropped 6 of 7 following a 99-87 loss to Seattle on Friday. The Blazers never led that game and did not score a basket in the last 6 minutes. Leading scorer Brandon Roy is mired in a shooting slump, making just 37.5 of his shots in 5 games since returning from a 2-game absence due to a death in the family. BIG EDGE: CELTICS
The Blazers have not beaten a team with a winning record since January 9th as part of a 17-1 stretch, and they have dropped the last 5 meetings with the Celtics, who have covered the last 6 games between the teams. EDGE: CELTICS
Boston is 36-16-1 ATS in its last 53 road games.

Chicago Bulls at Houston Rockets (ESPN | 8 PM ET)

Houston will be going for its 12th straight victory, with most of the team's previous wins coming against teams with losing records. Chicago also fits this criteria, and the Rockets are coming off their biggest win during the streak after beating the Western Conference-leading Hornets by 20 points on Friday. They are 9-2 ATS during the streak. BIG EDGE: ROCKETS
The Bulls are coming off their best offensive effort in more than 16 years after making a blockbuster trade with Cleveland on Thursday that sent Ben Wallace and Joe Smith to the Cavs for Drew Gooden and Larry Hughes, who will both be available in this game. “I think the most important thing tonight is just being happy in this locker room,” Chicago rookie center Joakim Noah said. “We haven’t done that too much this year.” EDGE: BULLS
The Rockets have won 9 of the last 10 meetings with the Bulls, including the last 4. They are 7-3 ATS in those games. EDGE: ROCKETS

Los Angeles Lakers at Seattle SuperSonics (9 PM ET)

LA is going for its longest road winning streak in nearly 8 years. The Lakers have won 6 straight road games and 10 of 12 while also winning 7 in a row overall, averaging 115.6 points with an average margin of victory of 14.4 points. BIG EDGE: LAKERS
Seattle is coming off a split of a home-and-home series with Portland and has won back-to-back games just 4 times this season. The Sonics are 5-0-1 ATS in the last 6 meetings with LA despite winning just once during that stretch. SLIGHT EDGE: SONICS
Lakers are 16-5-1 ATS in their last 22 road games.

                      Six-pack for Sunday

-- Manny Ramirez, in final year of his contract with Boston, has hired scumweasel agent Scott Boras as his new rep, in same week that Gary Sheffield ripped Boras. Stay tuned.

-- Eldrick Woods vs Stewart Cink, 36 holes for Match Play championship Sunday in Arizona.

-- Sandy Koufax was in Mets' camp Saturday; he was high school buddy of Mets' owner Fred Wilpon. He is advising Mets' pitchers this spring- they could have used him last September, if not for advice, then to toss an inning or two.

-- Zach Thomas signed contract with Cowboys, returning to the state where he went to college.

-- Bad news for Phillies Saturday, as Brad Lidge limped off field, injuring same knee that was operated on last fall.

-- Nationwide car race was washed out Saturday night out in California; they're going to run it Sunday night, after the main event NASCAR race is run. Long day for those guys who are driving in both races, unless it keeps raining.

Sunday's List of 13: Wrapping up a college hoop Saturday

                        13) Indiana showed up in Evanston to play Northwestern in first game after Kelvin Sampson took the money and ran; the Hoosiers struggled with 0-13 Northwestern, but survived for an 85-82 win, not exactly an impressive showing, but a win.

                        12) Oklahoma State upset Kansas 61-60, excellent win for the Cowboys and Sean Sutton, who ended 19-game losing streak on road last week. Aren't many easy wins in the Big 12.

                        11) Drake probably cemented their spot in NCAA's with a win at Hinkle Fieldhouse against Butler; not sure if MVC will get another team in NCAA's, if Drake wins conference tourney.

                        10) High drama in South Carolina, where Ben Hansbrough, an older brother of North Carolina's star player, sunk three shots from foul line, with 0:01.1 left, forcing OT, where Miss State beat the Gamecocks 61-56.

                        9) Hansbrough's heroics were set up when kid on Carolina hit one of two foul shots to give Gamecocks three-point lead; for the kid, Baniulis, they were his first foul shots of the season, in over 400 minutes of playing time. Thats hard to believe.

                        8) Whomever takes over the Oregon State job has a huge job ahead of them; flipped on Beaver-USC game Saturday, and the score was already 37-9, Trojans. OSU simply isn't competitive in a tough league where the other nine teams are all good.

                        7) Michael Beasley had 44 points for K-State, but Wildcats lost fourth straight road game, in part because their team has zero offensive balance. Beasley and Bill Walker combined to shoot 27-46 (58.7%) but rest of the team was a feeble 3-18 (16.7%).

                        6) Cornell made 11-22 treys, rallied from 33-31 halftime deficit and beat Brown 74-65, virtually clinching the Ivy League title.

                        5) Miami beat Duke, Maryland this week, is now in contention for NCAA bid; 'canes and Wake Forest are surging in ACC.

                        4) If you bet underdog in all 10 games involving MAAC teams, you would have gone 9-1; Marist didn't cover at Cleveland St, only game of the ten where the favorite covered spread.

                        3) There don't seem to be any overwhelming trends as far as the Bracket Busters go, they do such a good job of matching teams up, but home court seems to mean little less than in the conference games. Maybe because fans are unfamiliar with the visiting teams. Whatever the reason, visitors seem to do OK.

                        2) Peyton and Eli Manning, Priscilla Presley, Kenny Chesney and Penny Hardaway were all in the house as Tennessee and Memphis hooked up Saturday night; with Vols taking over as #1 team in country after a 66-62 win over the Tigers.

                        1) Now the question is, does the loss take pressure off, or does it create issues for Memphis? I think it lets them focus more on what is important, and that it winning C-USA tournament, and getting top seed in NCAA's. It isn't the worst thing in world.
