Pick 'n' roll: Monday’s NBA picks

Dallas Mavericks vs. Orlando Magic (-3, 199)
Devin Harris’ bone bruise in his left ankle is creating all kinds of problems for the Mavericks offense.
Without Harris, Jason Terry takes over as the club’s starting point guard.
"Now that he's starting, there's a certain way we have to play," coach Avery Johnson told the Dallas Morning News. "We have other guys who can handle the ball. We need some other guys to get some assists for us, do it by committee.
"It's just a different unit without our point guard."
Things can’t get much worse for Dallas bettors anyway. The Mavericks have covered in just two of their last nine games.
Pick: Orlando
Toronto Raptors at Miami Heat (7.5, 191.5)
Just how bad is Miami’s season going? The dysfunctional New Jersey Nets beat them by nine points on their home floor over the weekend.
“Losing, period, is tough, but just losing so many in a row, so many in a row,” Dwyane Wade told reporters following that game.
Miami has now dropped 18 of its last 19 games and has covered just five pointspreads over its last 25 games.
“I used to go into games feeling great, feeling confident, very confident,” Wade added, “and now you go into games and you don't know what to expect from one minute to the next.”
Wade, who missed last week’s loss to the Magic with the flu, has just 22 combined points over his last two starts.
Pick: Toronto
Charlotte Bobcats vs. Phoenix Suns (-14, 214)
The Charlotte Bobcats might be just what the Phoenix Suns need following a tough three-point loss to San Antonio last Thursday as 7 ½-point favorites.
Phoenix has won its last seven games against Charlotte, covering the number in five of those. And the Suns have seen some big numbers in those tilts, too, with the Bobcats covering only 16-point and 15 ½-point spreads.
The Bobcats come into Monday’s game on a slide. They’ve lost six of eight straight up and against the spread.
Pick: Phoenix
