It was Shogun's first fight in the UFC and he literally looked liked a deer in headlights out there. I'm lost for an explanation as to why this continues to happen, but it's been a recurring theme as more and more PRIDE fighters come over to the UFC. As for Brock Lesnar, he has no previous MMA fighting experience with the exception of one bout against an absolute cream puff. That fight was set-up as a "warmup" to hype up the one scheduled for this evening.
Don't get me wrong, Frank Mir is no billy bad ass either. However, he is a well versed, seasoned veteran with loads of experience. Not to mention, the dude's, a former UFC champion.
I'll be surprised if this one gets past the 2nd round.....

    FRANK MIR (+130)

Just as planned! Pay dat man his mauney!!!

Hindsight is 20/20 and it was pretty stupid to lay money on brock over muir. Muir looked good but lesner came out aggressive right away putting muir on his back and trying to ground and pound into a knockout.
The fight was stopped early when the ref took a point away from lesner for hitting muir in the back of the head..seemed like a call that wasnt really necessary.
THe submission hold that ended the fight was smooth. Lesners lack of experience is what cost him, lesner was standing over muir who was on his back keeping lesner at bay with his legs...and with brock thinking of a way to get to muir he was suddenly tripped and put into a leg lock.
couple good fights nothing great not worth the 45 bucks, especially not worth the bet on lesner fuckin wwf actors trying to cash in on a mans sport costin me money!

I had Sylvia too. Too bad he couldn't finish the job. Helluva fight though, but you gotta tip your hat to Nogueria. He got tuned up pretty much the entire fight and I actually thought they could've stopped it at one point. Those Brazilians are some tough SOB's...
