Top Three Games

First road game for Kansas; they beat Arizona in OT last week, and whacked five other cupcakes, all by 23+ points. USC will be up against similar athletes for first time, but they've already got win at South Carolina, plus neutral court wins over So. Illinois and Miami OH. How did Trojans ever lose to Mercer?

Arizona has yet to beat quality team, losing to Virginia, Kansas by combined total of seven points- they only won by seven vs Northern Arizona. Absence of Olson has to take little bit of toll. Texas A&M beat Washington, Ohio State on neutral floor; this is their first road game, after beating Alabama, UTEP at home.

First true road game for Texas squad that whacked Tennessee on neutral court last week, they aren't deep, but they have real good guards. UCLA beat Maryland, Michigan State on neutral court, rallying from down 36-25 at half to beat Spartans; their other four wins are all by 21+ pts. Getting Collison back helps.

Notes from Rest of the Card

-- Nebraska lost at Creighton by 12 in rivalry game; was 42-20 at half; hteir other four games were against stiffs. Arizona State did well in Maui, beating LSU; their only loss is vs Illini, 77-54.
-- Auburn lost first road game 77-62 at Tulane, has won three in row since, allowing just 60.3 ppg. George Washington lost by 23 at UCLA, after losing to UMBC, so they're off to bad start.
-- St John's has first road game after home wins against terrible teams; they've only allowed 59.3 ppg. Miami has already beaten Providence ((64-58), VCU (69-63); they've been ranaked #1 in country this week by one computerized ranking (kenpom.com)

-- Colorado avenged loss to Air Force earlier this week, beating Falcons in Clune Arena. Stanford is 7-1, but split a pair of road games, losing 79-67 at Siena, winning by 11 at Northwestern.
-- George Mason won two of three is Disney tourney then won CAA opener by 47 over Drexel, so they're sharp now. ECU lost all four games vs D-I foes, losing twice by hoop, also by 14 to South Florida, by 15 at home to Winthrop.
-- San Diego opened season with 73-72 win at Hawai'i, in game they led by 8 at half; Toreros since lost at home to San Diego State, UNLV, at Boise and lost two of three in Anaheim tourney Warriors lost first road game 89-60 at New Mexico.

-- Maryland lost to UCLA, Missouri on neutral floor, beat Illini by 7 at home during week, needed OT to beat Northeastern by hoop. VCU lost 69-63 to Miami, 7-60 to Arkansas after beating Houston 73-72 in tournament at Puerto Rico.
-- Oklahoma lost at USC 66-55 Thursday; they've also lost 63-53 vs Memphis on neutral court and beat five stiffs. TCU lost last game 71-58 at Texas Tech, after starting off 4-0 vs cupcakes.
-- Samford is 1-3 vs D-I teams, winning by a point at Evansville, losing by 9 to Belmont, 7 to Towson, 5 at Lipscomb. Florida St just beat Minnesota by 13; they're 6-2, with two losses by total of three points on neutral floor- they're 4-2 as favorite this year.
