Then this is in my opinion what a hero in this defination is. To wish your kids could aspire to be this kind of person is a dream come true to most parents. Now on withthe game!

I agree about Jimmy V....a very special man.

I read this morning that cancer is predicted to overtake heart disease as the #1 killer by 2010. Heart disease has been the number 1 killer since the early part of the 20th century....or whenever antibiotics got into widespread use to keep infectious diseases from being the #1 killer.

No doubt buddy..... My mom just got diagnosed with multiple myelnoma... Guess that is why I have been going off the deep end. It is bone cancer.. She is 65. Yep Jimmy valvano makes me smile and cry at the same time.. Here's to Jimmy v and you!

Thanks Joe. I appreciate that. She had some bone marrow taken out yesterday and will be geting a bone scan next Wednesday to determine how far along she is. I am hoping for the best but she has already lost thirty pounds in two months. Sleeping all the time. Etc. Scares the shit out of me.
