they never reviewed the play!!!!!! they did the right thing by the refs gathered up in the endzone, spoke about it and got the call correct..they never used replay! they did what they were supposed to do, huddle up and get it right

      BOTTOM LINE!

They got the call right. I had Baltimore +2.5. Initially, I was torn. I knew the FG was good. At the same time I wanted to win my bet. The more I watched it the more I realized getting the play right was most important.

It was mentioned above by Gris. Lost in the FG was Billicks poor game management. On 3rd and a yard Billick should have ran the ball. Either way they force Cleveland to burn a precious timeout.

Bottom line it was the correct call. I know your saying it should have been non-reviewable or whatever but you even admit it was the correct call so with that being said would you want refs to get calls wrong? Would that benefit you in the long run? Think about it.....

Also, Billick is the worst coach in the entire league....I figured that out in week 1 vs the Bengals...he always passes the ball on 2nd and 3rd and short....he throws more games away than any coach I have ever seen. After that week 1 game vs the Bengals I told myself I would never bet the Ravens again all season and still havent since and still wont...nothing worse than a bad coach screwing your wager.....

I agree. In the grand scheme getting calls right is most important. Both as a fan and a bettor. It was the right call. Outside of sports betting the call had serious division and playoff implications.

I agree, Billick is worse. Said it at the beginning of this thread and saying it now. When they win, which isnt often, they win in spite of Billick, not because of him. Give me a couple days notice and I could probably draw up a gameplan to contain that offense. And he was considered an offensive genius when he got to Baltimore. Maybe thats because he had Mr. Moss for a couple seasons. He has a tendency of making the offensive look kind of good when he wants to.

Don't forget he also had Chris Carter, Smith and a rejuvenated Cunningham all on turf. That's how he got the moniker "offensive genius". If that's the case, Ted Marchibroda was an offensice genius too early on in Ravens history. What did his team average, 30+ points a game?

In all the years of watching football, never seen a feild goal happen like that.

Your right Tony. He certainly had some players. Sometimes players make a system like the early days of Moss and Carter. Like Manning, Harrison, Wayne and Edge or Addai. And sometimes its reversed. Like the RB situation in Denver. Like Mike Leach and June Jones offensive at their respective schools. It has become quite obvious to me lately that Billick succeeded on the backs of his players not the other way around.

And to reinforce your point. Look at Marvi Lewis' stock when leading the Baltimore defense and their studs, and now look at his stock after losing control of his talented team.

Complete downfall. Crazy how that works, huh? Maybe Billick and Lewis together again would produce some success?

Hey GG, what about San Fran?

They are down by 8 at about 2:00 left and kick a field goal for 3? The line was +3 1/2. They will need 3 FG to win or 1 TD with 2 point conversion. Which is the best option? Vegas always win.

PS TheAngle, I'm still waiting for your hot picks.

ANYONE, with the defensive talent of past Ravens, would be a success.
