      Thanks my point. We can all agree Michigan has more tradition. With the TV, 24 hour sports programming, internet and other media outlets IMO that tradition doesn't have the same value it did decades ago. The kids being recruited grew up with ESPN and the internet. They've been exposed to dozens of high profile programs. Michigan, Penn St, Notre Dame and others no longer have the stranglehold on the highly recruited high school athletes. Living here in Florida the high school athletes want to attend Florida schools, specifically Florida U.

      I understand this thread is about college coaches but the college coaches will go where they can recruit the better players. If both the Florida and Michigan job were available and both schools offered the job to Spurrier. Which job would he take? I think most would agree Florida.

              that was the john cooper era both teams seem to go on streaks over the yrs too great schools with great traditions..............and for the record cooper was fired for not beating michigan end of story........great recuiter terrible coach in big games...................i believe carr is a great reuiter also.....even though i hate michigan...............but the big ten needs to start stepping up in the bowl games to bring the power house confrence back to where it was............and tell me this all if u finish thrid why dont u play a team that finished thrid in sec instead of second place team ..........this is how it has went down over yrs past...................gl pimp i expect a hrad hitting game this weekend between ohio state and michigan best man wins
