Found this on another site and I know a lot of you follow Northcoast a lot:
Don't be fooled by Northcoast!!! Another losing college week, but they are still the "number 1 rated service that past 10 years". Yea right. The past 2 years they've stunk it up but camoflauge it with past records and not mentioning this years TRUE record. There have been 3 weeks of College late phone plays (the only plays that even according to them count):
3 Wins, 7 Losses, ONLY 30% on their Big 4* PLAYS!! Including a 1-2 Record on their top weekley play, "The Highest Rated Late Phone Play You'll find Anywhere!!"
Overall, 7 Wins, 10 Losses, 41% overall this season
And once again, he selects and loses the same handfull of teams like Nebraska, Notre Dame, Miss State. It would not surprise me if he was actually betting the other side. He'd have a BUNCH of cash laying around and it would explain why he's still in business.
I cannot believe people still follow and bet on this guys picks religously. I used to be a fan, but saw the sinking ship and took the first life boat off. I still follow and see how they've done, and the boat is still sinking. But believe it or not, even with this proven loser, people still hammer is plays and get hammered in return.
In the Regular season NFL, their late Phone Plays are 2-1 this year with the top plays going 0-1.
As I have always said, Phil Steele(Northcoast) is a very slick marketer and good salesman;from his perspective that is all that counts.
He can take mediocre stats and put his best foot forward so to speak and using whatever method and time frame he chooses to use, make his record sound better than it is.
He really isn't all that bad in all fairness, but as stated you have to read and approach his stated record with a little bit of caution.
Phil Steele's GOM is 9-0 and he has one today and my guess is that it is on Ind. Colts since it moved from -2 to -2.5 and he has them winning by 10 in Power Sweep.
NSA's NBA Game Of The Year was on Dallas -4.5 on March 31. Orlando won 108-99. It was a cloudy day for Sonny LaFouchi.
