rocko a few yrs back i came to this website staring winning more then loseing so i venture out like u r doing cherry picking games from this guy from that guy broke me up fast becasue
in gambleing just like sports people have hot and cold streaks...........................its a lot better to stick to one guy through whole season......................now maybe u like to follow guys in different sports and i understand that follow who ever u chose and ride them like a bull.....................ps when its this time of yr and i been struggleing i take off and build my bankroll up and wait for the ncaa tourneyment to start play unders and doggies baby gl pal

Great advice here! If ya don't mind- I wish to add my 2 cents in connection to the mentors above! Lets get back to the basics- things you probably knew already but may have lost them in the excitement of the action you were on!

Allow me to address the Rocko that I know from this site. Mind you - We have never met but I have waited until the other folks left to give you some insight.

1) You must STOP and see what kind of gambler and gambling decisions that you are making. Remember- I use the word STOP!

2) Go back over your previous plays and decisions of why you took the play.
Were you convince that the play was exceptional or as a fellow member of admiration to a capper here - Did you
just impulsively say I am on it! Maybe you saw others were on it. Still doesn't make it a winner.

See- I sense that your personality is unique but can get you into trouble especially in gambling.

If I was to describe you (and forgive my holier than thou attitude) You present a picture that you are a follower type and very super loyal (Frodo has nothing on you) to the esteemed capper and team overall and you are liked by many on the site. But this can be a seed to your undoing.

In this casino, we all play for money (we'll call em cookies) and the bad man (VEGAS or your local) wants all of your cookies.
And this is where he has you- you have limited cookies and he has a cookie factory. It is this limitation that is your downfall. It is this limitation that is most gamblers downfall.

More money does not resolve the problem- no not really- it is playing with discipline with the money you have. (Spark and others)
Very few of us have this discipline and Vegas (and the bad man) loves each and everyone of us that plays above our means and am impulsive!

Now you have playing for quite awhile and the man is up on ya. And it would be great to have a stretch where you can pick up the cookies that you lost last week and such. So you get some godd cappers and jump on for the ride and that is how you are going to make it back - cuz damn cookies smell good and you are hungry!

The Bad Man knows a lot about you.
You provide food on his table and car payments. He has reasons that you are in his stable. He reasons that you are impulsive and a dreamer.

In his mind- he owns you! Ya might get him one week but the law of averages works in his favor because of the VIG!

The VIG is the best reason not to gamble unless of course - you have a nice doggie that likes cookies as well. No VIG on dogs and actually - you get the VIG! Since favs and Dogs run about 50/50 - then you can see why you would lose if you played the favs. Recently you had threads on the square plays- getting close but overall it hits about 55%. Doesn't work the same in all sports but you get the picture.
I have heard that a winner is a winner- no matter what the cost. There is truth there but a loss here and there and this finds you scrambling.

Another reason he owns you is becuz you are frivilous with your bets and taking action about anywhere you can find it.

The play does not justify your action but rather the action justifies your play.

In the world of playing on tilt or close to tilt we generally take the favorite and 90% time we lose and then lose more. The wins were just a memory and the losses seem apparent even before half the game is over. Feelings come over you that winning was just a memory.

The real action, my friend, is within you.
The play is to get yourself under control in your life with those you love and then return on your own terms and enjoy a play you feel good about later.

ONE THING I ALWAYS DO THOUGH IS TAKE TONS OF TIME WITH MY FAMILY BUT I DO ADMMIT THAT THERE ARE TIME THAT GAMBLING HAVE AFFECTED MY MOODS AS MY WIFE WOULD AGREE BUT FOR THE MOST MY FAMILY ALWAYS COMES FIRST ALWAYS I HAD ALMOST LOST MY WIFE BECAUSE OF DRINKING AND I QUIT THAT, ALMOST BEEN IN NOV. 9 YRS OF NO DRINKING AND WHEN I ALMOST LOST HER I PROMISED MYSELF AND HER I WOULD NEVER LET ANYTHING COME INBETWEEN US AND NOW THAT I HAVE 2 GIRLS AND A BOY ON THE WAY I STICK BY THAT PROMISE EVEN MORE I HAVE TO THAT WHAT BEING A DADDY AND A PARNET IS ALL ABOUT AND I MUST SAY I LOVE IT DEARLY,BEING A DADDY IS MY NUMBER 1 HOBBY!!!!!!!!!

First of all. Don't bet parlays. PERIOD!

I would have to agree with this one.

Even the best Sports Cappers only hit at about 60-65%. When you bet a parley you need to hit at 100% which is mostly unrealistic.

I have not bet a game since June and it feels great to have extra money. I still follow sports slightly. But knowing that I am keeping my money and not giving it away is great. I have more money now and improved my relationship with my wife and daughter b/c my saturday's are not consumed by sports.

I still bet horse on saturday's but If I play I put them in early and record TVG and watch them later.
