It happened to me with Buffalo Bills when Wade Phillips pulled his team off the field in protest to a touchdown.

Other team hiked the ball and kicker walked it in for 2 points and I lost by the hook.

Fla takes a 45-31 lead very late, and the worst they can do is a push, right? I'll cut to the chase.. UK drives, v the prevent defense, and hurriedly runs a final play, completing a pass in the back of the end zone, with no time left, 45-37 FLA.

Coaches agree that there is no point in attempting the XP, since there is not even time for onside kick. Game over, 45-37.

In the NFL, they force the team to kick the XP, or try something. Evidently the rule is different in cfb, so FLA gets the cover and SU win, and UK backers get the double whammy.
Of all the rotten luck ever, I would just as soon the guy drop the TD pass. I didn't have no freakin teaser, and why should I care?
HAD THE SAME PLAY ,KENTUCKY +7 !

i remember that game, it was at new england. there was a ridiculous pass interference call involving terry glenn that set up the winning td.

As the Kaptain said earlier, it's funny how we remember when we are on the south side of these, but fail to acknowledge the occasions that fate is on our side. Human nature, for sure.

But these make better stories, right?

I had a 12 team parlay going a couple years ago. Small amount of money wagered but it would have netted me $680.

Steve Nash misses two free throws with about 8 seconds to go. Opposing team grabs the rebound, drives the length of the court and hits the game winning shot from the free throw line. Needless to say Dallas was up by 1 when he missed both free throws and I had them ML in that parlay.

Mister 90+% misses two free throws... when the hell will that happen again?

I will say the best one I had was Texas Tech vs NC Charlotte in the NCAA Tournament 1st round a few years ago. I bet like $600 on NC Charlotte and bought a couple points so it was to win like 400+. Charlotte was down b double digits most of the game when a PF shoots a 3 at with like 4 seconds left and hits to get me the cover. If i took the regular spread I would have lost. This was when absolute luck was on my side and I covered by a 1/2 pt. Only big win I truly remember.

                  yesterday:

skins teased to -2.5, win by 2. LOSER for me by a .5 pt.

texans +1.5, lose by 2. LOSER for me by a .5 pt.

jets +6.5, lose by 7. LOSER for me by a .5 pt.

eagles teased (separate from skins tease) to a pick'em, let chicago go 97 yds in 1:40. LOSER for me.

                  i still want to puke.

Last years Florida game with Auburn on the biggest bet I made the whole season. Had the Under and celebrating as I watch the final play trickery of Florida lateral-ing until an Auburn player scooped it up and ran it in. I believe the total was 42! In this game the final score was 27-17 no extra point was tried either!
Never - will I get over that one!

This is how it was written up.
Trailing 21-17, Florida got a final attempt from its own 20 with 31 seconds left. Three incompletions later, Leak hit Dallas Baker across the middle and Baker lateralled to Jarred Fayson, whose own lateral attempt turned into a fumble recovered by Patrick Lee. The defensive back raced 20 yards into the end zone to place an exclamation point on the Tigers' win.

jake the snake plummer was down 21 pts going into the 4th quarter........asu was - 12-

he ties the game and go into overtime

he throws a td to go up by 7 and then the defense intercepts the ball and runs the distance for a td

asu wins by 13..........i lose by a half

i think it was only the first or second year after they changed the ot rules

Yes, I remember that one, as I was on the lucky side for once. I cite that story every time I explain to someone that it is still possible , though highly unlikely and rare, to cover 10-12 points in OT.
