He has signed with Boston once already. None of those other teams can say that so i'm not sure with that knowledge, and Lowell's contract up, how you can possibly leave the word Boston off your list. The Mets??? Wright and Reyes are going nowhere.

The key on the Cubs is the pending sale. They will make NO major signings until the sale goes through.

They make the team less attractive by saddling the new owner with a contract he didn't approve of.

Boras has a GREAT Relationship with Theo Epstein too. That will be a huge factor that is forgotten (IMO). Dice-K, Drew and Varitek are just a few Boras clients with Boston already.

The Red Sox have their own TV Station, half ownership of a prominent Nascar team and they are in talks to Buy New Hampshire International Speedway too. Money is coming out of their ears and A-Rod's contract wouldn't scare them in the least.

ARod has a Mercedes dealership in Houston. Maybe he'd like to be close to it.

He would look great in Astro pinstripes. It'd be nice to get the guy who is going to own the MLB record book before he is done.
You can't always get what you want, but if you try some time, you might find, you get what you need.

He was EASILY the MVP of the Sox this year.
What I meant was keep Lowell at third and get ARod for SS.

I can guarantee you Sox would NOT have won division this year if they had not had Lowell.

A-Rod is EASILY the American League MVP.

I'm sure ARod would make up for Lowell's absence lol

I am saying I would like to have BOTHh ARod and Lowell;obviously, if I had to choose vetween the two, it would be ARod.
I still feel that if anyone other than Lowell had played third this year for Sox(othetr than ARod), Sox would have finished second.

No shit. Does savage think we are giving up Lowell and going to have no 3B? Damn savage, Lowell's numbers would look horrible if they are replaced by A-Rod's. Do you not get that? lol

Well obviously their not going to sign both savage. It simply makes no sense. With that said you would have to choose one or the other. A aging 3B or the younger A.L. MVP? It shouldn't be that tough of a decision!

Ok-I think we misunderstood each other. I would have to choose ARod over Lowell, although I sure hope if Sox don't get ARod, they keep Lowell;losing him all things considered would probably be disastrous!
