PS - Dont get frustrated and give up just yet...I am off to a terrible start myself but I know based on past experience with my NHL wagers that once I get hot watch out....hopefully sooner than later...

Yeah - a little frustrated after watching the empty net goal go in with 30 seconds left last night. I realize the key plays will sing loud enuff and the NHL will take form! Looking forward to some hot streaks!

EXACLTY....its only a matter of time before the foundation is laid here....the reason for my early season struggles may be due to the fact that I thought a few teams were gonna suck that are actually doing very good (i.e. Carolina, Boston, St Louis, Columbus) and I also thought a few teams were gonna be good who I am finding out now that they suck (i.e. Nashville, Buffalo, NY Rangers, Atlanta)....this all accounts as underestimation for my slow start...getting a better feel for these teams is vital to know and I am starting to get a better perspective....
Play Under - Road teams where the total is 5 or less (DETROIT) - off a home blowout win by 3 goals or more, top level team, winning 70% or more of their games in the first half of the season.
(28-8 since 1996.) (77.8%, +20.9 units. Rating = 3*)
DETROIT is 10-2 UNDER (+10.0 Units) in road games off a home blowout win by 3 goals or more over the last 2 seasons.
The average score was DETROIT 2.5, OPPONENT 1.7 - (Rating = 1*)
The Red Wings dominated the Canucks this past Wednesday at home, winning 3-2 behind the goaltending of Dominik Hasek. But the Detroit goaltender won't be suiting up tonight. He is battling a hip injury and is out indefinitely.
Just because the Dominator isn't playing doesn't mean it's time to fade Detroit. Hasek's backup Chris Osgood has been fantastic in limited action this year. He has won all four games he's appeared in and has surrended just six goals on 85 shots.
