Now i can go to bed with a smile on my face knowing a Braves fan will actually be a little sad to see this kid go. I enjoyed watching him play. It may have been a horrible year but hey, it has happened to many. I expect him to bounce back. He patrolled CF like no other out there and he did it with such grace and ease.

The truth is, he's probably off the juice just like a lot of players, I wouldn't pay for these high priced superstars who just had a bad year, because their production will be down permanently. With that said, I still think he'll hit 30 a year, and play great D, that's better than most. There was only like 10 players in each league with more than 30 homeruns this year. The AL had 6. 6!!! In the AL!!!

His bat might have gone cold, but that kid did some amazing stuff in the outfield. To date, he is the only person I have ever seen run and dive up on the hill in Houston to catch an out. He covered ground like no one else was not afraid to use his body. Him and Franceour made an incredible put out machine tandem in the outfield. The kid has raw skills that just never fully blossumed. I think the change will be good for him, hopefully to a place where someone can really teach him. But Boras sucks and will place him somewhere where he does not belong.

And I lived in Atlanta during all those runs and got to see their one world series run. For me, it is better to be there than never at all, but I guess I don't hold out for the top like JC always. Kind of makes me wonder how he even makes it through college football season if he expects the best since he roots for the Cardinals relgiously.

But hey, what the hell do i know...

I think it is a good move by the Braves not to sign him in the 15-20 million a year range. With that said, this kid was a phenom at a young age when he came up and was a joy to watch for many years. The guy is 30 and he has 9 straight Gold Gloves. That is AMAZING!

I realize he had an awful year and i can understand why Atlanta fans would not mind seeing him leave, but this kid was a BIG part of a long and great run by the Braves. I'm shocked at how Atl. fan treats him on his way out. DAMN!
I think(as a braves fan)last year when we started talking to teams about a possible trade including Andruw he got his feelings hurt and lost his desire to play in this orginization. He will go down as the best centerfielder Atl has ever seen and when he gets to a new team and a new start he might win MVP next year. It's all about desire and that is the only thing I can blame his poor season on is lack of desire.Just think Bonds had 8 gold gloves,Andruw is one up on him at 30.Your right that is AMAZING.

I totally agree. How a Braves fan can just HATE on Andruw is still beyond me to be honest.

The real fans here will always appreciate Andruw and what he did to this orginization. When Glavine left we just got out bidded by the mets so it is understanding why he gets booed when he plays us,but Andruw will never get booed in ATL because it was the Braves decision to move on and not his.I know when he goes into the Hall Of Fame he will have that Braves jersey on.Talk radio here is probably 9 out of ten in full support of Andruw no matter where he goes but there is always that one who disagrees.IMO,nobody in any sport is worth 20 million a year.If someone wants to pay him that, best of luck.

EXACTLY why i don't understand any hatred towards Andruw.

Point 2 is GREAT to hear too!
