San Diego has nothing to gripe about. The best pitcher in the NL gets rocked and the all time saves leader blows a 3 run lead.

I feel bad for Hoffman because he was a stand up guy after the game and took responsibility, but the Padres dug their own graves.

Hoffman was a big stand up guy last night.

I give him many props for that.

It was actually 27 to win 300, so a little better...but hoffman is a 91% closer...also has a 5+ era at coors...I jumped all over it, especially as he's been nothing close to the best closer ever lately.

Keep taking teams that are down by 2 in the bottom of an extra inning vs. veteran closers and you'll be broke before you know it.....

To change the subject slightly, I think Rockies represent great value at +975 to win WS;they seem like a team of destiny to at the very least get to the WS, and looked quite impressive in winning 2 of 3 in Boston against the Red Sox earlier this year.

Judging by these odds, there is no point in NL even showing up to play in WS. lol

Two ENTIRELY diffrent things! If the right call was made on the homerun the game would have been played entirely diffrent. Every situation, manager decision, pitching change, hit and runs, etc, etc, would have been diffrent. Completely diffrent when something happens in the middle of the game, compared to a bad call at the end of a game that decides the outcome.

How are the Cubs +475 and the D-Backs +1000...are you sure that isnt an error cause that wouldnt make sense?

Im taking the Rockies +305 to get to the WS....that is worth a shot IMO cause that means they just have to make it there and not necessarily win it....

Why wouldn't that make sense? They feel neither one of them really have a shot at winning the WS, and the Cubs they feel have a better shot?

The reason I said that is because I thought the D-Backs were favored over the Cubs to win that series...are they not?

The Cubs are favorites for the series, to win the NL, and have the best odds of an NL team to win the series
