From Chado1: "I didnt mean to not post it I mean keep doing what you do I just found it quite humorous to be honest..."

    I understand completely, Chado!

Once in a while, those guys will pick WNBA games. You'll usually see it with the title "Lady Luck: Today's Prieview and Picks." When they don't have a great deal to work with, as far as the numbers go, they get off into this wild speculation. That can be pretty funny, too!

        NFL
        Pre-Season
        Write-up

        Saturday, August 25

Week 3 preseason games are usually the ones where you get the most effort out of these teams. They're still exhibitions, however.

Two of best offensive teams in league (seriously) as Lions will be force to be reckoned with when they have ball this year. Indy is on short week, after Monday night game vs Bears; they're not a great summer team anyway. Question in this game is how long is Manning going to be playing.

Miami still finding its way with Green under center; they've beat Buccaneers by FG in each of last two summer games- last three in summer between these two teams stayed under total. Tampa now has Garcia under center; for a guy who is supposed to be a guru on offense, Gruden has had a lot of different QBs play for him.

Redskins' Campbell is out with injury; Todd Collins gets the start for Washington at QB. Skins lost to Ravens last two summers, in what is something of local rivalry (17-10/26-20). Baltimore lost at home to the Giants last week; thing here is who will get time at #2 QB for Ravens, Bolller or Troy Smith?

Playing Dallas will mean more to Texans than other way around; Schaub had good numbers vs Arizona last week, can he do it two weeks in a row? Teams didn't meet last summer, but they split in previous two summers, with both games staying under the total.

Giants beat Jets last two summers (13-7/15-14); they meet in the regular season this season-- usually expect a more conservative style, with teams not wanting to reveal anything. Like backups as much as starting QBs in this matchup, as Clemens has had solid summer for Jets, and I like Lorenzen as much as Eli.

49ers have long trip for summer game; they beat Bears at home in last summer's game, as home side won last two summer meetings. Chicago played Super Bowl rematch in Indy Monday night, so short work week for them- they have advantage of having better backup QBs, always a good thing in summer games.

Seahawk-Viking game has little extra sizzle, since Hutchinson left Seattle for Vikings in free agency, and Seahawks weren't happy about how it happened. Anyway, Minnesota's defense has been in end zone three times already, but their offense isn't good-- the QB competition between Jackson, Bollinger is still underway.

Cleveland's QB situation is messed up; they flip coins to see who starts,, then Quinn played well last week, but it was against Lions third-stringers, so hard to tell what that means. Denver's backup QB is Patrick Ramsey, so they're OK there. Interesting to see how much playing time young starting QB Cutler gets.

Arizona can score points, this we know; they have depth at QB, with two-time NFL MVP Warner the backup, but will they be able to stop anyone? Chargers are loaded team; they beat Rams 30-13 last week, and Rams moved ball up and down field against them while Bulger was in game.
