Touche...my stupid drunk ass of the golf course...my point was that there has never been solid proof, only speculation...do i believe he is guilty...more than likely...but i believe that clemens is in the same boat, until proven otherwise...why spit so much hate when the guy has not been convicted yet?...if Clemens, the power pitcher that gains more power at an older age than younger age, is convicted, will you guys say the same?

It has to be more than speculation when it was Bonds himself who said he used it. Knowingly or not, what more proof do you need?

Like someone said in a previous post.. Do you think Nola Ryan was juiced? Because he sure as hell got better and stronger with his age just like Clemens is??

No offense buddy but WTF does cheating on your wife have to do with using Steroids to cheat your way into breaking the All Time HomeRun Record??

I just think power pitchers can go a little longer. Clemens and Johnson both ... wouldn't surprise me if they used. The difference is big when you lay everything out including the men involved with Bonds who are currently in prison.

If you were to start a list of athletes who used performance enhacing drugs the past 30 years in major (BASEBALL TOO)competitive sports you would be writing from now till next year. Oh yeah like I said NONE OF THE PICTHERS HE FACED EVER JUICED.

cream and the clear? victor conte ripped them off with this one.

                    Wayne:

That is whole heartedly possible and no denying that; however, my point is that Bonds has not been convicted of steriod use. He has stated as much but we only know that due to a grand jury leak. Hell, Clemens was possibly linked to steriod use due to the guy out in AZ that was caught (my apologies on spacing on his name right now). I do not hate Clemens, or Tmac (fellow ACC man), just trying to understand why so much hate without conviction. IMO, the entire era is tainted and take everyone with a grain of salt. If you hate one, hate them all...

That's an easy one to answer. His asshole attitude and arrogance is why he is so hated. When Clemens is getting ready for the season and working out at college's and minor league parks while talking to and helping kids out, Bonds is doing shit like he did last night in the post game interview.

Just a total prick and when you add the ex girlfriend saying he did it (i know an axe to grind right?), they wrongly thought that about Canseco too and most of that now seems real. Added to the trainer refusing to talk in prison (Why would he sit there unless he was hiding something?). Add the Admitted USING of the clear that put 2 others in the pen (For talking), and add the steroid like attitude towards the world and it is sooooooo easy to hate him for many.

Shit yeah baby!!! He would have struck Bonds' ass out then came back in the bottom of the inning and smoked one over the center field fence!!! By far the best.

against what talent? Throw in the world talent against "THE BABE" his numbers go down. Weve had guys(white and black) doing against some of the best players in the world(mexican, caribbean, far east, latin american players). Players of today(black and white)

Atleast the athletes of today played against everyone available to play.

Hell Josh Gibson was the best ever if thats the case.

Yeah that talent pool was awesome in 1915.

Get real. You couldve been a major leauguer in 1915.

Come on brother. When the Babe retired in 1935 this was the career home run standings.

                                1-714 Ruth
                                2-378 Gehrig
                                3-302 Foxx
                                4-300 Hornsby
                                5-256 A Simmons
                                6-251 C Williams
                                7-244 H Wilson
                                8-242 Ott
                                9-232 Klein
                                10-218 Goslin

Gehrig ended up with 493 when he retired in 1938, 221 behind the Babe. That's 31% more than 2nd on the list for Ruth's era.

Bonds will probably end up with about 15-20% more than 2nd place for his era (ahead of Sosa), which is respectable, but nothing compared to Ruth. It's really all a moot point, as A-Rod will destroy the record and go down as the second best of all time...behind Ruth of course.
