From 1-12 the worst roster / team to appear in the Finals.
Other than LeBron, ... Hughes ( quite possibly the most over rated player in the leauge--cant shoot for shit!!) Ira Newble, Varejo, Snow, Jones, Marshall, Pavlocic, Gooden ( Mr. Soft ), Iglauskus is a decent big man.

This happens in all sports-what about last year when the barely 500 St. Louis won the World Series;if the whole season is considered, they were not even close to being one of the best teams;they just got lucky and/or peaked in the playoffs

Not exactly though. The Cavs weren't barely .500 in the regular season, they were the #2 seed in the conference. I don't even know if they peaked too early/late/whatever. I think SA was just good all around. Sure the Cavs would be "ranked" behind Phoe and Dall too. However, going to back to thread title, they were certainly one of the worst. But being worst of the best isn't awful.

Good point.
Conversely look what happened to a very good team like Dallas, which simply could not deal with Golden State, even though if one goes by overall records, they were far the far superior team.

And, btw, it doesn't help that you have an awful coach! I watched only 2 qtrs of the entire series...4th Q last night and most of 4th Q in game 3. Every Cavs possession was grab a rebound (when they could), get it to LeBron on the outlet.....stand around and watch....can they not run a play for someone, even for LeBron? Hell, they do nothing to run him off screens or anything. I saw them run one play in the4th Q last night...that's it. LeBron can only do so much when you get doubled and tripled team as soon as he is 25' from the basket.

IMO, he mismanaged the clock last night, bad substitutions...he is awful.
