Unfortunately the 5 or 6 teams in the West battle it out for one spot versus whatever slop emerges from the mediocre, boring (L)Eastern Conference.

It wasn't that long ago that the East had the power, but even in the 80's, with Boston, Sixers, Bucks, Pistons, et al, the West at least produced a quality opponent ( LA Lakeshow). Now its as if they have to send someone. Hard to imagine that the East has won 2 of the last 4 titles.
You can't always get what you want, but if you try some time, you might find, you get what you need.

At the early stages of their careers, if they had no one else to score and were double and tripled team with no one to bail them out? It may not have been 33% but it certainly would not have been 45%.

And they were molested in 3 of the 4 games this series. Its not like making 3 or 4 more shots would have mattered.

Sooner...explain to me where are the stats that Dirty Mike presented? It is called an opinion if there are no stats to back it up, and in both opinions, we will never know the answer because there are none. I know it is hard for you to realize that there are other opinions other than yours but there actually are.

You have some serious issues. Perhaps you should not let your hatred taint everything you read? Find one person who has made excuses for LeBron including LeBron? He had an awful series. He tried to carry his team like he has all year, against an excellent opponent and failed. Shit happens. You just seem to like to stir the pot and just throw shit out there to look for feedback....

OH Jack I'm sorry is 33% NOT A STAT??? Are you kidding me? Dude, the ONLY person with issues is YOU. Dirty Mike comes on a basically says Lebron shot something like 33% thats a STAT jackass NOT an opinion. It is based on a fact, let me explain this to you, he took so many shots and he made so many shots from this FACT not opinion we get a precentile that is a stat.
Dude, you need to settle your ass down and ADMIT when someone is RIGHT. Hell, you act like none of you thought they were going win a game?? Some of you predicted a six game series, and after game 4 of the Eastern Conf series, you were ONE of the many tooting his horn.
FACTS my friend. From day ONE, I said he was a ONE man team, that the Cavs were SOOO weak, and that it was a total mismatch. Now you want to jump on with thats not a stat?? Well what did he shoot for the series Jack.........this is exactly what irritates me. People come out of the woodwork after game 4, with Lebron has arrived posts and NO one has ever done what this guy has done. Then when they are down 0-2 and he is a NO show, and can't bring them back (Dwade game 3 one year ago 42 points and 13 boards, when Miami was down 13 points in the 4th Quarter) now its well I KNEW that this was going to happen.....please. Your just like KB who runs his mouth, and then disappears!! I give you credit though, you atleast don't hide like he has.........If you remember, he was excited over his 5 to 1 odds for a C note, until he lost.........There is NO hatred for anything other then people constantly on "the fence" with issues we discuss.

So in your post when you refer to them being "molested" that is NOT making excuses for James and the Cavs???? Dude, practice what you try to preach. Oh sorry IMHO...

Dude, where is the excuse in that statement? Perfect example of you looking for an argument and not a discussion. They were outplayed, manhandled, beaten at every corner, dominated and molested. They were beaten in every phase of the game in every game except game 4, where they were beaten but you can make an argument that they were not dominated. Where is an excuse made for them anywhere? Perhaps you are they one that needs to settle down as you seem to take issue with everyone? Once again, your hatred clouding your better judgement.

As for DWade in Game 3 last year, even you know that is a crazy comparison. What DWade did was a game for the ages, a game that showed his greatness. The game that in many people's minds put him at the top of the list in terms of top players in the game and rightfully so. Very much similar to what LeBron did against Detroit. Why weren't you all fired up about people putting DWade on the pedestal last year? no one here questioned it then and there was no reason to. As for why it is, imo, a ridiculous comparison:
              • Look at who they were playing, I would think even you would agree SA is much, much better than Dallas, especially defensively. Do you honestly think that SA would allow DWade to do what he did to Dallas?
              • Who else was in a Heat uniform- Shaq, Walker, Haslem, Payton, Zo...all threats, regardless of how well they were playing. Shaq didn't have a great series (although according to you great players cannot have a bad series), but he still had to be accounted for. Do you want to compare that roster to Clevelands? If Miami of last year played Cleveland, they would win in 5 games, imo.
              • Mike Brown and Pat Riley...do we have to say anything more?

And one last thing, as you continue to spout off about how LeBron, if he was so good, how did he do in his first finals appearance with a much better supporting cast?

              Keep hating, hater!

Referring back to the heading of this thread, some may argue that the 80-81 Houston Rockets, led by Moses Malone and a cast of nobodies, would qualify as the worst Finals team ever. They got in the playoffs in spite of their 40-42 reg season record, upset Magic and LA Lakers back when the first round was a best of three. Picked up some momentum and represented the West v Boston and Bird. Actually took it to six games, and showed well.

Moses made waves when he commented during the series ( I think it was between G1 and G2) that he could take himself and four playground buddies from his native Virginia and beat the Celtics. Bulletin board material, not a great idea, as I think he was trying to rally his own troops.
Fo Fo Fo was the rally cry
You can't always get what you want, but if you try some time, you might find, you get what you need.

Jack, now stop me if I am wrong.....Huck Finn is a moron! No that isn't it, I just seen that Huck went back down to the General Store and got on the computer to spout off again......he is so funny.
Anyway, in your thread you alluded to the fact that Dwade showed and I quote "his greatness" which I totally AGREE with. IN a Championship series game when it MATTERED.....right? This is the point I have been trying to make since Game 4 of this years Eastern Conf finals. I believe IMHO that Dwade because of his play in the Finals a year ago, is a better all around player then Lebron. I don't care for Lebron, I think that Dwade is a much better example, (he has married the mother of his children, and took care of all of them through college) and just a better person. As I said before Lebron is just a little too urban for me. Good player, very much so. GREAT player No, will he be probably. But UNTIL he shows me what Dwade did in the Finals a year ago, I just can't consider him GREAT. Man, he has the talent to be unbelievably GREAT. But until he does it on the NBA's greatest stage (the Finals) Dwade will be just that much better. In addition to the fact that Dwade has a far better perimeter game the Lebron.
So you see, you admitted to the fact that Dwade is a GREAT player. And though Lebron is very good, until he climbs that mountain, and atleast stays for a couple games past a sweep I just can't buy into him being a GREAT player. ONE game does not greatness make.
The good news is I think the Cavs will get better, and I know the Heat will. So we will be able to ENJOY both of these players for a long, long time. I just think it is unfortunate that people have misread my thoughts on Lebron.
I did say I thought he was overhyped, and believe I called him a punk. Which looking back the punk was a little excessive lol. Because he is far from a punk, hell he in my opinion is closer to GREAT then he is a punk. He actually showed me alot at his press conference last night, when he said "I have to get better" WOW that really did impress me, and it is that drive that will make him great. I just feel like without the ring, it is sort of premature talk. You talk of my hatred, I guess as a fan my hatred comes from GREAT being thrown around everytime somebody has a good game. As a traditionalist, I think we should savor the title and give it where and when it applies. With Lebron, superstar YES, Great not just yet.......
And one last thing. If I have offended you in any way shape or form, I do apologize. When I get going on something like this, I need to take the time to point out my points less aggressively. For that I was wrong, but I still feel that my opinion is right. So again, if I offended you, my apologies.
Now Huck Finn is another story........that I will deal with later! lol And if you see KB tell him I accept PayPal. Thanks Jack!

Yes Chung, and I believe losing Coach Brown hurt them more then losing Wallace. Far superior Coach to Flip.
