Everyone seems to think Kyle Busch was a better driver to have instead of Jr. but we will see how good Kyle is when he is driving equipment for someone other than Hendricks. The grass is not always greener on the other side and Kyle has seen that 1st hand with his brother!

Having A Successful Car Owner With Tons Of Money Does Not Ensure That You Will Win Championships....ask All Of Roushs Current Or Ex Drivers Starting With Mark Martin (zero Titles As Roushs #1 Team)...roush Fielded 4 Or 5 Teams For The Last 15 Years And Only Has 2 Titles (kenseth And Busch ) Thats 2 Titles Out Of 60 Chances And He Had More Money Than Anyone In Racing During That Period.....there Are So Many Variables In Racing And Such A Long Season That Just Being Associated With A Great Team Doesnt Guarantee A Title...i Think Earnhardt Will Be A Good Fit At Hendrick But To Win A Title You Must Have Everything Go Your Way For The Better Part Of 36 Weeks (even The Stuff You Cant Control )...should Be Interesting To See What He Can Do For Them

All you had to do was listen to Mark Martin when he drove in the Busch Race for HMS. He couldn't stop taking about how great the car, communication, the teamwork, etc...was. Jr can drive with the elite drivers (17 wins in 8 years) reflect that. DEI has been going downhill for a long time; unreliable engines, poor setups, poor management...HMS is completely different...Good move Dale, and I'm a Gordon fan.
I like Kyle, but he needs to mature...

Agreed!

No driver can outdrive a bad team just like no jockey can win on a slow horse. It is when top drivers have similar equipment that you see driving ability come into play. As I said earlier, Junior is a better driver than most think.

In addition, a couple of guys who have been stuck with weak teams struggled for a long time (Ricky Rudd---a great driver---was like that at the end of his career; another example is Jeff Burton, a really talented and clean driver who struggled for a couple of years when he was lost in the Roush shuffle but has thrived since moving to a team that has made him its number one guy.

The thing about Hendrick is that EVERYBODY there seems to excel.
