Junior is actually an outstanding driver and is outperforming his rather shaky team. Also, the sponsorship revenue for Hendrick would be off the charts if he could bring in Junior.

I personally stopped rooting for him because so many of his fans are total asses but if you know racing you're aware he is a lot of ability.

Kyle is a better driver but he cant get his head on straight.Jr wouldn't tear up as many cars.It is a done deal.Jr will be at Hendrick.

I have only followed Nascar for two years, so not sure I know racing. I know Junior = revenues, but I have not seen anything performance wise over the last two years to make me think he had top 10 talent other then his last name.

ALOT OF RACING IS THE CAR.IF YOU PUT A GREAT DRIVER IN A DECENT CAR HE WILL FINISH TOP 10.PUT A DECENT DRIVER IN A GREAT CAR TOP 5 PUT A GREAT DRIVER IN A GREAT CAR TOP 3.AT THIS LEVEL EVERYONE CAN DRIVE A RACECAR AND IS CAPABLE OF WINNING A RACE.

like Wayne said...very few bums in Nextel Cup...but lots of bum teams........any knucklehead at this level can win if he's with a great team(ex. Michael Waltrip at DEIs restrictor plate program...he was like 0 for 650 before he finally landed with a good team and then he won a couple of huge events) look at Dale Jarrett with Gibbs and then Yates after Ernie retired, he was a threat every week, now look at Jarrett in the Toyota, he cant even make the show....nowadays its 20% driver and 80% team....years ago the driver had more to do with the winning......except for maybe way back when Petty dominated in one of only a couple of factory sponsored teams (those teams dominated...not that Richard wasnt a great driver,he was my favorite from about 1975 until he retired at Atlanta in 1992

Ok, fair enough comparison. So Hamlin 3rd in the standings, Stewart 6th in the standings, Truex 11th and Jr 14th. Good Point, and the 8 places in the difference can be attributed to Car Team performance (DEI versus Joe Gibbs).

So you are saying switch drivers from DEI to Gibbs and Jr/Truex could very well be 3 & 6 versus 11th and 14th.
