Tony...from today's Post...A-Rod ain't the only one that doesn't stay with the team!

Rodriguez's wife Cynthia made the trip to Beantown with her husband. The two are staying at the Ritz-Carlton along with a few other Yankees, including Derek Jeter, Andy Pettitte and Mariano Rivera.

I respect ARod as a player, but also think he is an attention seeker;in some perverse ways I think he enjoyed bring caught with that mercenary self-serving blonde callgirl bitch from Vegas and having the story plastered all over the newspapers and being the subject of talk shows all across the country.

i did not know that......i still however do not agree with it and assumed it was standard practice to stay in the same place

To tell you the truth, until the recent series of events, I had no idea that ARod was the kind of person who would partake on cheating on his wife;being married for a couple of years and with a small child, I simply assumed he was a family man who just went out and did his job every day.
In retospect I was also very much surprised when the Wade Boggs/Margo Adams affair occurred.
With famed athletes you never know I guess.

              savage-

i think we would all be naive to think pro athletes do not cheat.....i am not trying to paint them all with a broad brush, but if the general population (who has to work at getting laid) cheats like in 65% of relationships then how high do you think it is for these guys who have HOT pussy throwing it at them.....sad but true...

i was listening to an interview in Miami and they were saying the NBA players refer to the league as meaning

              Nothing
              But
              Ass

so there you have it......i am not saying A-Rod cheated since the girls said he was a gentleman....but you never know.....and when he was there it was never with a woman

Tony-Of course a lot of athletes and regular folks cheat on their spouses;the 50% divorce rate in this country tells you something.
I couldn't/wouldn't cheat no matter who I was and how tempting the offer was, but that is me.

me either savage....i have never cheated on a girlfriend...would not want it done to me....also the divorce rate is almost 59% but it went down this year for the 1st time since 1972 and they think it is due to more personal income....less stress

all i am saying is in their position there is alot more temptation since every night new pussy is being thrown their way....average guy has to work hard to get any pussy let alone hot pussy

Tony-I agree with you that the temptation must be tremendous for athletes especially in baseball when the players are away from their wives or girlfriends for as long as two weeks.
Some players like Babe Ruth might even argue that plenty of sex and booze on the road(and at home for that matter) with little sleep actually enhances their performance.
If they applied the same standards to sex to enhance performance as they do to steroids, then guys like Wilt Chamberlain, who slept with thousands of women, might have been stripped(no pun intended) of plenty of the awards he won and records he held.

you can never regulate morality and for some people it is a part of their culture and it is okay with them......

as a sports fan it is none of my business what goes on between a man and a woman.....or i guess in some cases a man and a man....

i would rather not even know.....as long as they do what is legal i am fine with it

Tony-I agree with you. Sex outside of marriage or relationships should be no big deal other than the people directly affected.
Sure, you, me and everyone else can express opinions such as with ARod's fling, but when you come right down to it, in the long run, ARod and Mrs. ARod are the ones who have to deal with it and discuss it.

Having worked at The Plaza hotel in NYC for 10 years and having, at one point, 14 NBA teams stay with us, you would not believe the things we saw. I will tell you that we were fortunate enough to have the Bulls stay with us during their run of the early to late '90's and Jordan always had a suite, but never stayed with us. Half the time, Ahmad Rashad would pick him up at the airport and he would stay somewhere else, especially if they were with us over a weekend. We would rarely see him, but he always left with the team on the bus to go to the game (I am actually in his picture book, standing next to him, as he left The Plaza once). When he wouldn't stay with us, he had a bunch of hangar-on's that would stay in his room and on a number of occasions, when they left the room was trashed, used condoms all over, broken glass....
