He might as well miss the rest of the season;all things considered considering his age and the circumstances, he is probably the most overpaid athlete in history at this juncture of his career.

Pretty safe comment as no one has ever made 20 million at the age of 45!

Why is it that Red Sox fans hate A-Rod so much when the guy was willing to give up money to play for them? And don't tell me it is because of 2004 as they have booed him from the moment he put the jersey on. And the same for Damon...who in their right mind would turn down $12 million dollars extra and he actually did the Sox a favor by leaving!

i can only speak for me.....I just do not like the way A-Rod makes demands and stays in seperate hotels....How every interview he gives lacks passion and seems to be scripted...

and Damon i do not fault for taking the money.....but at that level it should be more than money....he was a rock star in boston......in NY he is just #5 on the list.....I also think whenever someone leaves the sox for the pinstripes is as close to treasonous as it gets in pro sports.....JMHO
