  • MLB "Game Of The Year" Tuesday Winner!!!

Ok guys, I have not posted a GOY in 161 MLB bets so far this season and I feel that this is a great spot tonight. Jeremy Bonderman is 3-0 on the season with a 3.57 ERA over 53 innings pitched and has struckout 46 while walking only 12 batters. In 36.2 innings pitched lifetime vs. Tampa Bay he has an ERA of only 1.96!!! During these innings he has only given up 25 hits and 8 earned runs!!! Casey Fossum on the otherhand is 3-4 on the season with an inflated ERA of 7.15 over 50.1 innings pitched. He has a lifetime ERA vs. the Tigers of 4.28 over 33.2 IP and has given up 35 hits and 16 earned runs!!! The Tigers 4 game losing streak ends tonight boys!!!

921 Detroit Tigers (J. Bonderman) (-165) (GOY) (5 units) ML

    *Both listed pitchers must start

AS ALWAYS, GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE!!!
SOBER SINCE MARCH 28TH OF 2007!!!

also, Bonderman gets runs scored for him.....there always is one pitcher on each staff that just gets scored for.

      Tonight is the night.

I like the play;however, the caveat is that when a team is on a losing streak or winning streak for that matter( I believe it is now 4 for Detroit), it is always at least a little risky to try to pick the game to end it.

I realize that and there are MANY reasons other than that as to why I like this game....

I appreciate the input here Spear but this is the difference between the way you cap and they way I do....

To me, personally (no offense), trends are very minimal in my analogy of capping my games. If anything I would even go so far as to say that if trends are against it that it would be "due" to start going the other way. This is why I rarely bother with trends for me as you just run itno head games with "the trend is like this" or "its bound to start going the other way as it is due" so I just dont even bother getting rapped up in JMHO but I appreciate your opinions Spear. I just dont cap the same way as you do....

I noticed same and meant no rain on your parade Chad- I did not poo- poo your choice but gave it definition. "complete ga ga" means an outside chance this doesn't hit. I like Boston much in the way you like Detroit. I am actually playing both. I realize that Josh B may not be 100% but Sowers has lacked pitching prowess this year. TB likes to turn the applecart and I am rooting for the Tigers to prevent that! I've enjoyed playing your picks and reading your info posted.

Thanks Spear I hope that you did not take my post the wrong way as I did not take the one of the trends the wrong way either. Im glad that you can see it that way too. I appreciate you posting the trends because they can be important and interesting but I am sure you can side with me that things are "due to change" and therefore that is why it doesnt have as huge an impact on my play as my other capping methods.
