Here is another one which occurred already several times to me this weekend and has happened a lot over my gambling career:
When the total is exactly 9 1/2, and I play the over, it seems that about 90% of the time I lose.
One of these days, I am going to smarten up and take each total every day that is 9 1/2 and simply play under.

Tonight was a good night- but I admit Strange as I meant to play the Yankees Over 10- and screwed up playing the under and not realizing it untill the 3rd inning---This has happened before and again I recorded a weird win.--- however, 5 runs in the first did make me say a few choice words concerning my quick thoughtless play!!!

Its funny-one of the reasons I wrote the post yesterday is because I played OVER 9 1/2 in Florida/Wash.yesterday, which looked hopeless.
I won the bet with a fluke walkoff Grand Slam-talk about poetic justice!
ps On the other hand I had the Yanks OVER 9 1/2, which looked like a cinch early but didn't happen-what goes around comes around.
My basic contention doesn't change-the number 9 1/2 at least for me is a bad number when it comes to playing overs.

I had the under in the Washington game and it was 3-2 with a rain delay bottom 9th. Figured I was screwed on a win to wake up today to see Wash scoring 5 runs in the bottome of 9th to give me a loss.

It was the opposite for me.
I was hoping game would not be resumed, meaning a 3-2 victory for Florida(I had them and the over), meaning a win and a no bet on the total.
Instead I get a loss on the game and a win on the total;go figure.

Things like this - that you have no control over!
Boston Red Sox starter Josh Beckett, the first seven-game winner in the majors, left after four innings on Sunday with a torn flap of skin on his right middle finger and failed in his attempt to tie a franchise record with a victory in his first eight starts.

                    Beckett
Beckett allowed two runs in the first inning and left trailing 2-0. He struck out seven and walked two before Kyle Snyder relieved to start the fifth.

Beckett was attempting to join Babe Ruth and two other Red Sox pitchers by winning each of their first eight starts in a season. Roger Clemens had 14 wins and a no-decision in his first 15 starts in 1986.

I hate it when u take the OVER and the game seems to fly by. When I take the UNDER, the games seem to take forever.

PS Savage. Check out today's Sunday Republican (mother's Day). ICheck the weddings section. I am in it. We are the only couple not in a $500 + dress or Tux.

Richie: [after Gus hits a homerun] Wow and he did it without steroids.
                      Clark: What's steroids?
Richie: Something that makes your pee-pee smaller.
Clark: There must be steroids in macaroni!
