Things Which Happen to You When You Gamble

I thought it might be fun to list some bad things which happen to all of many teams when we bet on sporting events.
List you-it can be with a certain team, a general thing or just about anything in any sport.
Here is one which always seems to happen to me.
Lets take baseball:
When I bet an OVER, it seems whether I ultimately win the bet or not, the score is usually 1-0 or 1-1 after 5 innings.
When I play an UNDER, there are usually 3 or 4 runs scored in the first inning.
Name your own personal bugaboo.

Letting ride parlays when I should just hedge the late game to make sure I always win

Fantasy baseball (hoping players do well) versus my bets (thus the reason I won't do fantasy football)

Actually, the reason I started this thread is because the opposite happened to me today.
I had an easy UNDER going in the Balt. Cleveland going through six innings with the score tied at 1-1.
Now score is 9-1 after eight.The total is 10, and now I expect someone will now push across a meaningless run in the ninth to put it over.
And of course I called it;it is now 10-1.
Thank god I had Cleveland also but still.

I was just thinking about this one today....since I had the Angels yesterday, and Washington!!

Whenever I'm fortunate enough to have a team actually make a 9th inning comeback to tie up a game, they seem to then lose in extra innings. I lose plenty of bets when teams tie it up in the ninth and then win in extra (my money on the other team, ofcourse), but I never seem to be on the team that comes back and wins.

when i used to bet i would never win on fridays and very rarely sundays......big win days were tueday, thursday and sometimes saturday

Apparently, when Phil bought his Webster's Dictionary, it omitted the word "lose."
