For your guys sake...taking one of three would be huge.
YEA I THINK THEY WOULD HAVE BEEN HAPPY TO COME OUT OF THERE THIS WEEKEND WITH 1 ANYTHING MORE WOULD HAVE BEEN A BONUS TODAY WAS THERE BEST CHANCE THATS FOR SURE BUT YOU NEVER KNOW THATS WHY THEY PLAY THE GAME
Thank god I have ARod on my fantasy team. So far tonight he gave me more points than the rest of my team combined, and I have 4 starting pitchers playing tonight.
Its only one game, but this seems to be a continuation of what occurred last August.
Yanks simply have a better balanced team than the Sox, and amazingly they are doing it with a number of key players on the DL.
I give the Sox maybe one game in this series.
I know I should try to positive as a Sox fan, buts thats the way I see things at this juncture.
Savage, how do you figure? Yankees have the best offensive team in baseball and the last 3rd of the Sox order is a HUGE question mark, but you cannot even compare the two pitching staffs. The Yankee starters are mediocre at best after Mussina and Wang (I don't want to hear about Pettite as he has been injured the last three years so why does anyone think he is going to give the Yankees 30 starts?) and they, once again, have major issues getting to Mariano (will Cashman EVER figure this out?). Mariano is the best ever, but you cannot tell me for this year that he is light years ahead of Papelbon...the difference between the two is not much. With Okijima emerging, the Sox could be lights out in innings 8 and 9 making games a 7 inning game (could be the equivalent of Mariano and Wetteland in the 90's). Personally, the Yanks may win the division because they will pummell the dregs of the league and all of the 4th and 5th starters, but in a 7 game series , how do you not like the Sox?
