West Virginia vs. Clemson
The Mountaineers showed plenty of fight in coming back from a 14-point second half deficit against favored Mississippi State to win 63-62 on Darris Nichols' three-pointer at the buzzer. It was West Virginia's biggest comeback win of the season and pushed WVU's mark against the spread to an impressive 23-11. And while much of that is due to a solid home record (17-1 straight up), John Beilein's Big East team feels quite comfortable in the oft-visited Madison Square Garden and has played well there (winners of six of their last nine). Beilein has also done well in his career against the ACC (5-0 lifetime), including a win over NC State earlier in the NIT. Perhaps it was a lack of comfort that hit Clemson down the stretch of its game with Air Force. The Tigers almost blew a 10-point lead with two minutes left before hanging on (68-67) over the Falcons. Clemson's mark against the spread is a more pedestrian 17-17. Anaheim at Columbus
Anaheim is looking to win its first division title in franchise history, but that hasn't kept the Ducks from struggling against Columbus. The Blue Jackets have won four of the last five meetings between the clubs, including a pair of one-goal road wins (the latest coming in a shootout on March 14). At home, the Jackets are 7-3-0 all-time against Anaheim. Columbus also is finishing strong and comes in with a four-game winning streak in which they've outscored their opponents 15-5. Phoenix at Golden State
The Warriors were obviously reeling after a disappointing two-point loss at the Lakers when they followed that up with a disastrous 37-point home loss to San Antonio the next night. But that has been uncharacteristic of Don Nelson's club of late as the Warriors are 8-2 against the spread over their last 10 games and 5-1 at home. Phoenix comes in the Vegas favorite in this one, but the Suns have not been steady on the road recently, dropping their last three road games where they have come in the favorite (Sacramento, Denver and Philadelphia).
