West Virginia vs. Clemson
The Mountaineers showed plenty of fight in coming back from a 14-point second half deficit against favored Mississippi State to win 63-62 on Darris Nichols' three-pointer at the buzzer. It was West Virginia's biggest comeback win of the season and pushed WVU's mark against the spread to an impressive 23-11. And while much of that is due to a solid home record (17-1 straight up), John Beilein's Big East team feels quite comfortable in the oft-visited Madison Square Garden and has played well there (winners of six of their last nine). Beilein has also done well in his career against the ACC (5-0 lifetime), including a win over NC State earlier in the NIT. Perhaps it was a lack of comfort that hit Clemson down the stretch of its game with Air Force. The Tigers almost blew a 10-point lead with two minutes left before hanging on (68-67) over the Falcons. Clemson's mark against the spread is a more pedestrian 17-17. The Mountaineers look like a dangerous underdog pick (+1 1/2) in this one according to Dunkel, which has the Mountaineers favored straight up by 1. Dunkel Pick: West Virginia (+1 1/2). Here are all of today's games.
