Cleveland at Detroit
Detroit comes into this contest off its worst home loss in two years. The Pistons were blown out by lower-rated Golden State (111-93) on Monday, marking their worst defeat at The Palace since a 101-79 loss to Memphis in January of 2005. Cleveland will hope to take advantage and record a regular-season win after losing five straight to the Pistons, including both matchups this season by double digits. The Cavs are playing well and have won three of their last four, including a 91-85 win over Houston on Monday that spoiled the return of Yao Ming. LeBron James remains hot and is averaging 32.7 points since the All-Star game. Perhaps more importantly, Larry Hughes is coming off a good game (22 points) to run the Cavs' record to 16-5 when Hughes scores at least 20 points. Tampa Bay at Edmonton
It hasn't been a great road trip so far for the Lightning as they've lost back-to-back games to Florida and Vancouver by the combined margin of 11-3. But relief looks to be in sight tonight in Edmonton where the Oilers come in with a four-game losing streak. The trading away of Ryan Smyth has taken much of the punch out of Edmonton's attack as the Oilers went over 140 minutes without scoring before finally tallying two goals in a losing effort to Calgary (4-2) on Saturday.
