Pittsburgh at Carolina
The Hurricanes are coming off a pair of home-and-home defeats to Ottawa that kept the defending Stanley Cup champs in ninth place in the Eastern Conference. The Canes have also lost three of four at home to drop their record to 16-13-4 after posting a 31-8-2 record last year. As flat at Carolina has been, the Penguins have been moving up. Pittsburgh erased a two-goal deficit against the Rangers last night to win in a shootout (4-3).
