Greek Love the play! Here our my thoughts.......
The Wolfpack renew their rivalry with Utah State tonight as they travel to Logan. Quite simply, this is a supreme spot for the Aggies. They’re off an ultra-embarrassing performance last Saturday in losing to Louisiana Tech 84-71. In that contest, they allowed the Bulldogs to shoot a red-hot 67% from the floor. After the game respected head coach Stew Morrill stated, “We were flat and got our rear ends kicked. This was as bad a defensive performance as I’ve seen in many years. That was horrible.” The translation was easy, no questing the Aggies were pointing towards this contest, and now with an NCAA tournament birth hanging by a thread you can expect an all-out performance tonight. The Aggies have been money all-season on their home court with a perfect record. Meanwhile, this serves as a flat spot for the Wolfpack. Last Saturday, they clinched their fourth-straight WAC conference title with their win at Boise and New Mexico State’s loss to Fresno. In fact, the Wolfpack were a bit surprised they garnered the title somewhat through the backdoor. In essence, this game means very little with huge goals still ahead with their much-anticipated senior night, a rematch of their lone conference loss against New Mexico State this Saturday. Of course, their conference tournament and the Big Dance linger around the corner as well. What we’ll have in the contest is Aggies bring their A+ game, with Nevada playing more of a C- version.
