In the first category the shorter underdog performed about as expected with 6-8 record and 7-7 ATS mark, which was mildly disappointing. Those feeling were swiftly jettisoned when determining the play of larger road dogs. Here these NBA mongrels were a solid 8-9 SU. What was found was akin to a dog finding a box full of treats under the bed. These seemingly unsightly underdogs were a mouth watering 12-4-1 75% against the spread when catching 7 or more points on the road after dropping two straight home games.
The lesson taught is never underestimate the qualities of a dog when backed into a corner, be it in real life or in sports wagering.

I prefer long term systems. A short losing streak can turn 12-4 in a 50% system in a hurry. This system was 13-21 last season. Since 2002 it's been slightly profitable standing at 70-58. Prior to 2002 the record is a poor 86-109.

Was no Paul Pierce factored into this equation? Not sure how long he's been out?

I believe this was his 23rd game out of the lineup. Yes- It was factored in. Teams seem to jump out of the box against Boston and then lose their hunger for a blowout. Boston storms back in the 2nd half which is possibly the better play- Boston in the 2nd half.

Talk about back dooring a game---I believe they were down by 24 pretty late in the 3rd quarter and come back to lose by 7. I called it in at the last second. Thanks for the play.

I was surprized that Boston could make up that much ground in the second half- however, this Doc Rivers led squad does't give up. Ya have to be impressed with so many who think they have tanked because of the first pick in the draft. Not so. Outgunned but not without a fight!

Frank- You are right on about short term systems- I have been collecting these to monitor and see when something is on or if cold. I do not have the experience and data you possess but am elated that you are posting as hoops has really been your niche. If you had posted the other side- I would have negated my play.

Keep posting your systems and write ups. I enjoy them. Like you, I have an appreciation for the 'scientific' side of capping. We had a nice BALSY winner yesterday. That's what makes this site so great. The sharing of systems, ideas, theories and mostly WINNERS.
