        St. John's at Cincinnati
At one time this would have been a big matchup, but now it's to see who can avoid last place in the Big East. That spot is currently occupied by Cincinnati, which has lost six of seven league contests, including the last three to Pitt, Georgetown and Louisville by an average margin of 15.66 points. The Bearcats have also stumbled at home against mediocre competition with losses to Rutgers, Ohio and Wofford thus far. St. John's hasn't been much better and is coming of back-to-back losses to Pitt and Georgetown by 26 and 24-point margins. But the Red Storm did show a spark two weeks ago with back-to-back wins over Syracuse (64-60) and Notre Dame (71-68). St. John's looks good enough to take advantage of the Vegas line (+3 1/2) according to Dunkel, which has the Red Storm favored straight up by 2 1/2. Dunkel Pick: St. John's (+2 1/2). Here are all of today's games.

          Detroit at Cleveland
The addition of Chris Webber is paying off so far for the Pistons, who have won six of eight with the only losses coming against Washington. Sprinkled in there are three road wins over Minnesota, Charlotte and New Jersey, the latter coming on Wednesday by 24 points (113-89). Over the last five games, Webber has averaged 11.6 points and 7.4 rebounds to give the Pistons another force down low. Cleveland continues to be inconsistent and comes in having dropped seven of their last 11. None of the wins over the span has come against a team with a winning record, either, while losses to Miami, Phoenix, Orlando and Denver have come by an average margin of 10 points. The Pistons look like a good underdog pick (+2 1/2) in this one according to Dunkel, which has Detroit favored straight up by 4. Dunkel Pick: Detroit (+4). Here are all of today's games.

            Pittsburgh at Montreal
The improved Penguins are winning right now even when Sidney Crosby isn't scoring. Yesterday Pittsburgh extended its winning streak to seven straight with a 2-0 victory over Washington despite Crosby being held scoreless for the first time since Jan. 10. Chances are Crosby will get back on the board today against the Canadiens, who fell to Pittsburgh 5-4 in a shootout on Thursday while Crosby tallied three assists. Things weren't any better for Montreal yesterday as they gave up three goals in the third period to fall to the Islanders at home (4-2). The Penguins look like a good underdog pick in this one according to Dunkel, which has Pittsburgh favored straight up by 2. Dunkel Pick: Pittsburgh (+1 1/2). Here are all of today's games.
