NO but he's 100% accountable burning a valuable timeout with the useless challenge.

Forget the fumble. McCree made two mistakes on that play. It was 4th down. He should have knocked the pass down and not intercepted the ball. If he knocked the ball down SD would have had better field position. McCree was interested in personal stats and not what's best for the team.

It's easy for us to see that fumble but Marty had to either believe his players or the guy in the booth that advises him. He doesn't sit on the couch with us watching the game.
Give him the time out and at best it would be a tie game and who do you think would win in OT?

Now move on. Without good coaching he wouldn't have had the chances to lose all those playoff games!

I will admit that if the two coaches swapped teams, everything else being precisely the same, the Chargers would've wiped the Patriots off the map because they were statisticly more sound and had a bye week to prepare. But those are the precise reasons why I liked the Chargers in this contest, because they are a sounder team this season. I don't know if its Marty's fault or not, but I know this. Bill Belichick io is the best coach in the history of the game. But give him last year's version of the Cardinals or Texans or Lions and they might get a few more wins, but they don't make the playoffs. I'm only rebutting the idea that anyone who went with the Chargers was an idiot. There was a solid case to made for them even with Shotty at the helm.
