Unfortunately its hard to put a team in the national championship game that doesn't even win its conference.

There is no basis for this in any sport. In fact, as Frank points out, it's the opposite.

Would anyone be shocked if Florida beats Ohio State and then played Michigan a week later and lost? ANYONE?
The system is utter garbage just like when an undefeated Auburn got jobbed a few years back
And Griffey......Tressel is 4-1 v Michigan unless they faced off before the Michigan Ohio State games.....4-1 is not good but 6-1 is a stretching it just a bit

Jim Tressel is 5-1 v. Michigan

Originally posted by LVJimmyI think your last paragraph states something that is being grossly overlooked. All I keep hearing about is how Michigan got shafted, but what about Boise St? I know people will say they aren't that good, they didn't play a tough schedule, OSU would throttle them, etc., but what were people saying about the BCS Title Game before UCLA beat USC? Nobody thought UCLA could/would beat USC just like nobody thinks Boise deserves a shot at OSU. IMO, it's BS, and there have been greater upsets so why not give Boise a shot. If anyone remembers that undefeated Utah team a few years ago, I watched a lot of their games being a MWC fan, and that team was legit meaning they could've played with ANYONE, and yes, by anyone I mean USC, Oklahoma, and Auburn that year. IMO Boise is getting the bigger shaft than Michigan.

agree, butthankfully it happened the way it did, b/c it is apparent from the bowl games that Michigan and Ohio State were both terribly overrated. It would have been a travesty to see both of those teams playing for a national championship. THe only reason that OSU/Michigan was so good was b/c both teams play weak defense and neither could stop the other. I'm not saying the SEC is necessarily the best (even though I think they are) conference, but they are definitely the best defensive conference.
