      From what I read, Manny could be traded today, the RedSox are working on two possible deals, one with the Dodgers for any number of players, or two in a three way with the Giants and Mariners, involving Sexson, Lowery, Adam Jones, JJ Putz.

        If any of those deals are made, the Sox will get the shit end of the stick and wit won't even be close.

          only way i'd like that deal is if sox got sexton and lowery out of it. other than that it would be a bust for bosox.

            In my opinion, any deal with Mariners for Manny which does NOT include Ichiro isn't worth making.

                Of course not, and Sox should have same attitude toward Manny.
                Sox should ignore his whining, tell him team needs him and then just let him do what he has done every year since he has been in baseball.

                  I too am a big Giants fan. He just had to go to our arch-rivals....
                  So kay maybe SF will go after Barry Zito now that Schmidt is gone.
                  NFL
                  5* 1-0
                  2* 6-2-1
                  1* 9-4
                  total = 16-6-1

                    I have to pose this question.... How is it that every year it seems the same teams are major players in the free agent market, but teams like

                    My Atlanta Braves, do not make a bid for a guy like Schmidt or try to entice Zito to rejoin Hudson? Why must we be stuck with time warner?

                          Why?

                          Your rival just overpaid for an aging pitcher whose best years may be behind him and your team now has dollars freed up for better values.

                            In other words, our rival just got better and we got worse. The money aspect means nothing in baseball.
