theo is in love with OBP and drew is high, thats why he wants him. thing is he isnt a clutch player, isnt a good clubhouse guy, isnt healthy and has a poor attitude. signing him is one thing, but paying him that kinda coin is flat out stupid

well i know he has $70million. i dont really feel sorry for him, what i'm saying is the local media and tons of sox fans are destroyin the guy and he hasnt even suited up yet. i'll give him a chance, but i dont like him and i dont like that sox brass paid him all this money and just last year they let damon walk saying 50mil was to much money.

Who wasn't happy about Damon? I don't remember any of that. It's so bad up here with Drew that people are getting petitions signed not to get Drew. They have thousands and thousands of signatures. I have never in my life seen that happen here or a player who has never played so HATED. The ONLY way people will accept him up here is if he bats .300 and hits 40 Hr's

There are a lot of intangibles Nixon has which go beyond statistics;I think it was a huge error to let him go for an unknown quantity in Boston like Drew.
Theo has to learn that assembling a team is a lot more than relying on such things as OBP to get you the type of players who are going to make your team an outstanding one.
2004 is a good example;Red Sox had talent but also the players played together as a unit and each one did his own thing to make it a smooth working unit.
I don't like what I say this year especially just blowing off Nixon, Gonzalez and Loretta like what they offered can be easily replaced.
