Still so many question marks with the starting pitching. Prior will be the #1 key this year. IF HE STAYS HEALTHY AND RETURN TO FORM--WATCH OUT!!!

      Agreed.

Marshall is a huge question mark. Zambrano and Hill are the only for sure, and I don't say that based on Hill's talent, just the way the organization is looking at it. Then Miller...Prior is even a "?".

I HOPE THIS IS JUST A RUMOR. I CANT BELIEVE THEY WOULD SHELL OUT 10 MILLION FOR LILLY. THERE HAS TO BE A GUY IN YOUR FARM SYSTEM YOU COULD PAY MINIMUM WAGE

AND GIVE YOU 59-58 AND A 4.60 ERA FOR 5 SEASONS.

IF HENRY SIGNED THIS DEAL HE SHOULD BE SHIPPED TO WHEREVER DUSTY IS HANGING OUT.

Hill over Marshall? That would be a nice little battle.

Two lefties (assuming Lilly signs) in the rotation would be a positive as well.

I'm really really hoping for Schmidt though.....That really would be a great move for the Cubs.

Steve Phillips reported saying Cubs are after Gil Meche as well and are trying to get both Lilly and Meche.

Toronto is trying to keep Lilly though

Schmidt is an ace. It's insane to me that people say Meche, Lilly, and Padilla in the same sentence as Jason Schmidt. Jason Schmidt would be the ace on the Cubs staff, Zambrano has ace stuff, but he's mental. If they get Schmidt they are definitely a contender, if they get one these other jokers they won't be.

What I heard today was that the Cubs could send RF J. Jones and a young arm to Colo for J. Jennings and then Colo would make a deal with Pitt. With Lilly and Alf you have to wonder how much more money are the Cubs going to spend? Schmidt and Zito would be nice, but I doubt it. Guy's like Jennings and Meche sound more like it.
