PLEASE DON'T THINK I'M A BIGOT OR RACIST, I'M NOT!!!!! it's just unfair sometimes to white people.
My dad and I were talking about Jimmy the Greek during lunch.

Greek said "bred to be the better athlete because"

If he didn't use the word 'bred' all would be well. If he made those comments today it probably would not start an uproar.

I was watching when Rush made his comments. I agreed with his comments. At the same time I was thinking "he's in trouble".

I had a couple of classes at miami with Irvin, tv acting 101 or some shit and some other communications class, he was not this big of a dope back than, although I'm sure he got a pass on some classes

Two Ton & Frank...you're right on & I couldn't agree more. This double standard has become accepted & until "white" America stops taking it, it's NEVER going to change. It's not only in the sports world, but it's all around us in our everyday world!

It's called Black Power, guys. Double standard all the way.
If a white guy says something like that, he will be fired; but a black guy says it, then it's OK

Another thing I notice in the USA is that African Americans are more united than White Americans. Honestly, I thought if OJ Simpson was charged as guilty, we would have had RIOT all over Black dominated cities, a la Rodney King type.

One last word, I am neither Black nor White, ( I'm sure you guys can tell by my English Grammar) so I just tell you guys my true feeling of this country.

                    This thread is very interesting.

For me, Frank summed it right up in #7.

Bud Gregg makes a great point in #15. All that legilsation back then was intended to combat a double standard just like this one.

It's just a shame that, in 2006, we still have to discuss racial dicrimination.

It's just another example of the "double standard" United States of America that we live in! There's no need to look any further than the United Negro College Fund. What would happen if there was a United Anglo College Fund?! Do you honestly believe that all anglos have enough money to go to college? Or how about the infamous BET or Black Entertainment Television. How deadly and destructive would the riots be if there was a White Entertainment Television channel?! It's a disgrace!
