If Rutgers loses to W.V. .... That would mean that out of the number 3,4,5,6 and 7 teams, 3 will lose at least one more game.

yes, the 2 best teams can be from the same conf, but:

1) when one of these teams loses, how can they be considered the 2nd best team in the nation when there are other teams that are undefeated and more with 1 loss,

2) I know it's happened, but you shouldn't be able to lose your last game of the year and play in the BCS title game, and

3) if OSU beats Michigan or vice versa, and then they play in the BCS title game and the other team wins, how can you claim a real national champion considering each team beat each other?
